Being just weeks away from electing our next President, we're now in that wonderful time of hyper-politicization.  Each candidate tells us of the many wonderful things he or she will do ... promising candy and sunshine for all!

The "credit crisis"? No problem ... either heads are gonna roll, or more Rube Goldberg regulatory authorities will be created ... and the mainstream media parrots these promises with their own personal opinions (what they claim to be analysis).

But can they deliver? In my own, special "virtual interview", we'll ask Walter E. Williams, John M. Olin Distinguished Professor ...

Today, it seems as though people are losing touch with importance of the founding of our great nation, the United States of America.  I'd like to address our Founding Father's thoughts and ideas by taking a look at the first 10 amendments to our Constitution, and how they came to be.

While drafting the Constitution, the Founder's originally did NOT want to add a "Bill of Rights", in fact, the idea was rejected by a unanimous vote.  It is commonly thought that the "Bill of Rights" was added to appease many of the divided states, who feared that the federal government wouldn't protect the rights of the people unless they were specifically spelled out.  This, however, wasn't exactly the ...

All politicians use a bunch of hyperbole in their speeches, however, Barack Obama is especially particular in choosing his words.  His methods are precise.  His words are chosen to drum up specific emotions - fear, pain, anger ... then promise.  Since the mainstream media is too busy chasing down librarians in Alaska, let me take you on a walk through Obama's political upbringing ... the roots ... of Obama's Revolution.

Eighteen months ago, nobody knew anything about the rookie senator from Illinois. Today, Obama has become the "rock star" of politics.  How did this obscure, young politicians star rise so fast?

Barack Obama ...

The old, mainstream media continues to show its true colors.  Everything you read and see has become an op-ed piece!  ABC News' Charlie Gibson, showed us his bias when he asked Gov. Sarah Palin about "The Bush Doctrine," and the rest of the mainstream media ran with wild claims!  The New York Times, after the interview said:
... Ms. Palin most visibly stumbled when she was asked by Mr. Gibson if she agreed with the Bush doctrine. Ms. Palin did not seem to know what he was talking about. Mr. Gibson, sounding like an impatient teacher, informed her that it meant the right of "anticipatory self-defense."

Former Clinton Chief Strategist Mark Penn discusses the sharp decline Obama's campaign is experiencing, and the swing voters willing to vote Republican because " They don't care what the New York Times had to say. They don't care what Frank Rich and Maureen Dowd have to say."  He also says the media is "on very dangerous ground.
"I think the people themselves saw unfair media coverage of Senator Clinton. I think if you go back, the polls reflected very clearly what "Saturday Night Live" crystallized in one of their mock debates about what was happening with the press.
I think here the media is on very dangerous ground. I think that when you see them going ...

The Left really seems up in arms over the idea of "God's will". In the Lord's Prayer, as Christians we also say "thy will be done".  These are two ways of saying the same thing.

To put these statements into perspective, it's simply saying ... "God this is what I want.  It is what I believe best.  If you agree with me, please help.  If you disagree, and things don't go according to my personal view, I accept this. It is your will, not mine, that matters."

There are things in life that as people, no matter how hard we try, we simply can't control.  We do our best - using our own knowledge and skills - but ultimately ...

Today is one of the many days we remember and honor the great men and women who serve and protect us in our voluntary military.  We should always honor and remember them, each and every individual, from every war all the way back to the Revolution - regardless whether you agree with a particular war or not.  These men and women placed their lives on the line for all of us, and many gave their life in the name of our liberty too.

Right now, we ARE in a war against Radical Islam.  In fact, it's a war of civilizations.  ...

Your Government in Action!

I'm on the internet catching up on the news, and I come across an article from Reason Magazine titled "We're the Government. We'd Rather Pay for It," which reminds me of a local story  that I'll share with you in a few moments.

Back in 2003, retired Glenwood Springs, CO resident John Haines wanted to DONATE a chunk of snow-white marble to the federal government to replace the cracked Tomb of the Unknowns at Arlington National Cemetery.  Not only was this a donation, but also a very special piece of marble.

Haines had it cut from the same Yule Marble ...
