Prior to 2006, when the presidential election started (way to early), pretty much nobody had ever heard of Barack Obama. But things have "changed," because this coming January, he will be sworn-in as the President of the United States.  How did this happen?  This is a question many have asked, but while the mainstream pundits have had a difficult time providing an adequate answer, it's been right in front of them all along.  This is how the Alinsky method works - quietly, in the background, where nobody is looking ...

Colorado, once a strong, reliable "Red State," who has favored the Republican presidential candidate in 10 of the last 12 elections, turned decidedly Democrat this time, winning the presidential election 54 to 45%, along with big gains at the state level.

And this wasn't about Bush Derangement Syndrome, or even Gov. Sarah Palin, it was ... well ... a genuine conspiracy. Follow along with me, especially if you live in Michigan, because you need to know what's really going down.

*Hat Tip to The American Contrarian and RightMichigan for bringing this to my attention!*

Back in 2004, a group of wealthy Leftists ("the Gang of Four") got together and decided to build a strategy to turn Colorado from Red to Blue. The founders of this group, called the Colorado Democracy Alliance (CoDA), put together a scheme in which they put together 37 advocacy and nonprofit groups, that collectively received millions of dollars which were directed by the CoDA.  Just like Obama's campaign, they utilized Alinskyite tactics to build specific voting blocs, train agitators "to fan latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expressions," control the media, and design policy research.

"In this book we are concerned with how to create mass organizations to seize power and give it to the people; to realize the democratic dream of equality, justice, peace ... From this he logically proceeds to the revolution to end capitalism, then into the third stage of reorganization into a new social order of the dictatorship of the proletariat, and finally the last stage -- the political paradise of communism." - Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals

The original "gang of four" Leftists who founded CoDA are none other than billionaire Pat Stryker, multi-millionaire Tim Gill, multi-millionaire Rutt Bridges, and multi-millionaire Jared Polis. Allegedly, Polis left the group shortly after it was incorporated.  Other big players include Colorado State University president Al Yates and Denver attorney Mark Grueskin. Together they developed a successful way to legally funnel millions through back-channels, while getting tax-breaks for funding Democrat and radical-Leftist agendas.

The CoDA itself, operates as a taxable nonprofit membership organization and doesn't handle campaign contributions directly.  This sets them free of the limitations and disclosure requirements of current campaign finance law.  Instead, they fund supposedly non-partisan advocacy groups and other nonprofits (many of which they own) that will help advance their "social justice" agenda (think ACORN).  The group also target select voter groups directly.

It's not known how all of the organizations in their web are funded, because they're not required to release their donor list.  But two of their think tanks - Bighorn Center for Public Policy and the Bell Policy Center - were created by CoDA member Rutt Bridges, in 1999 and 2000 respectively.

The following is a short-list of CoDAs organizations for purposes of demonstration.  A more thorough list is provided here.

  • Bighorn Center for Public Policy
  • Bell Policy Center
  • ProgressNowAction.org (think moveon.org)
  • Colorado Independent (newspaper)
  • Colorado Media Matters (think Media Matters)
  • Colorado Ethics Watch (a law firm)
  • Center for Progressive Leadership Colorado (think Camp Obama)
  • ColoradoPols.com (online news)
  • SquareState.net (blog)

CoDA targets state and local level politics and agendas.  They pick a handful of targets (Republicans), poll to find issues that can work against them, and indirectly fund their Democrat opponents.

The "investigative" arm of CoDA then goes to work looking for any wrongdoings, or ... shall we say, alleged wrongdoings and their "press" - the Colorado Independent and ColoradoPols.com - goes into action running stories and pressing the Republican candidates on the made-up "issues" they created.  Of course, ProgressNowAction.org goes into full smear/attack mode while the bloggers, such as SquareState.net, pickup the story and gossip about it on their blogs and throughout the blogosphere making comments on other Leftist blogs and websites.

"An organizer working in and for an open society is in an ideological dilemma to begin with, he does not have a fixed truth -- truth to him is relative and changing; everything to him is relative and changing ... " - Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals

Colorado Ethics Watch then jumps in, threatening lawsuits and binding their opponents in arbitrary and bureaucratic legal procedures.  Other CoDA groups join "the cause" sending emails to their minions in the targeted voter blocks with "action items," such as overloading the phone lines at local radio stations, television news shows, and/or opposing websites and blogs.  During all this commotion, they're recruiting people into the "training" schools and teaching them agitation.

All of this carefully orchestrated effort then creates and "echo chamber" forcing the mainstream media to pick the stories up.  And the think tanks create propaganda to assist in their investigations.

Any of this sound familiar?

It should! The strategy is eerily similar to the campaign "the One" just ran to win the presidency.  The Obama campaign was ruthless.  His campaign even threatened and harassed top donors of both Democrats Hillary Clinton and John Edwards!

Welcome to the new political paradigm ... And don't brush this stuff off ... this should literally scare you into action!

Why did I title this post "The Fun Begins with Michigan?"

For two reasons: The DNC is engaging in a massive effort to take the "Colorado Plan" nationwide. As CoDA's executive director Laurie Zeller told the Democrat powerbrokers at a strategy meeting during the Democratic National Convention:

"To remain effective and agile, we've had to try and be discreet about our efforts. There's a playbook here you don't want to leave on the table at a Starbucks."

The first targets of their nationwide effort include Michigan, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Utah, Wyoming, Ohio, North Carolina and Maine.

The second reason is that they've already begun here in Michigan.  Billionaire Jon Stryker, Pat's brother and a resident of Kalamazoo, has created a CoDA sister organization called the "Michigan Coalition for Progress" (MCP).

Stryker funded MCP by seeding it with $3.8 million himself, and got another $250,000 from Kenneth and Jeanne Levy-Church, trustees of the New York-based JEHT Foundation. Through the MCP and other various political causes, Jon Stryker spent over $4 million on this past election cycle alone, more than either state party could raise.  He helped a number of Democrats win state elections with this scheme, turning the Blue state of Michigan even Bluer.

"ALL THE elements were present ... the crowd's chanting of key phrases and names, the action on the spot of texting and phoning to show instant support and commitment ... the setting of the agenda by the power people. The Democratic National Convention had all the elements of the perfectly organized event, Saul Alinsky style." - L. David Alinsky (Saul's son)

As Republicans, Libertarians, Conservatives ... everyone on the Right (and even moderates on the Left) ... we need to get on top of this, and take action.  Now!

Or we're going to let the freedoms our forbears fought for and sacrificed their lives to protect ... slowly slip away.
