It's been a little slow around here ... the rapidly changing MI weather got the best of this one man operation ... So I thought I'd get back to posting with something funny.

"The One," who everybody (including Libertarians (who will be taking a lot of heat from me for voting for the tyrant)) claimed was a pragmatist that wouldn't lean far to the Left, has already proven them wrong!  A "told you so!" is in order, so there it is.

Anyways ... considering Obama has yet to take office, but has already created a new government department for himself, "The Office of President Elect," I thought a picture of Obama with his new department seal on the podium along with extreme-partisan Rahm Emanuel, Michigan Governor (a Canadian by the way) Jennifer Granholm (worst economy in the union), and Biden, the grumpy used car salesman would be funny.

But I didn't know whether to laugh or cry ... then I remembered something even funnier!

I don't know how many of you have seen the movie "Idiocracy," but if you haven't, rent it.  It's good!

Yes, it's your typical corny movie ... but it also serves as valuable (and all-too-real) social commentary about the dumbing down and degradation of America.

You already know what happened, and you've already heard dozens of pundits tell you why.  From what I've read, the mainstream "conservative" pundits seem to think McCain/Palin didn't appeal enough to the "middle of the road" voters ... the supposed "centrists" and "independent" voters.

Many Republican "insiders" are blaming Sarah Palin, the woman who drew record attendance and television viewership.  And in continuation of the "markets are dead" mantra, many in the mainstream media are excitedly proclaiming that conservatism is DEAD too.

They're wrong.

Now some straight talk ...

All across America and with great enthusiasm, conservatives are talking about rebuilding the party.  It gives me hope as I listen and read the many ideas, and it should give you hope too.  BUT ... it's not gonna be easy.  And it may ... be next to impossible.  Here's why:

With billy clubs in hand, Obama supporters (The New Black Panther Party) work the polls ... a peek at the new "Change (ed)" America if Barack Obama gets elected.

Hey!  At least you'll get free gas and a paid off mortgage!

An Open Letter to all Libertarians:

It is true, that for a very long time now, the Republican Party has undeservedly benefited from the Libertarian vote.  The party that had started a comeback under Goldwater and Reagan gave us much hope, but it soon turned its back on Libertarians ... but it turned its back on "conservatives" too.  The current electoral struggles of the Republican party were not born by "conservatives," but from the party's abandonment of the Goldwater/Reagan platforms ... and the majority of Americans who genuinely want to shrink the government.

I'm not here to make an appeal for Libertarians to vote for McCain, because a vote for "the lesser of two evils" sends the wrong message.  I am here however, to make an appeal for you to vote for Bob Barr, write-in Ron Paul, or to cast your vote for Bugs Bunny! In other words, anybody but Barack Obama.

Let me explain:

Don't worry, this is not a defense of Republicans!

Barack Obama is dangerous.  It's just that plain and simple.

This is "'Change' You Should Run From!" Barack Obama and his elite friends (and we all know who they are) will now decide what behavior they want out of "us" and use the markets to manipulate "we the (little) people."

I'd vote for Gore/Kerry if it meant keeping this guy out of office!
