All the crazies were at the state capitol today!  I tell ya ... It was sooo scary.

There were black helicopters and everything!  Very cool.

I attended the Tea Party in Lansing Michigan today yesterday.  It was great!  This movement is building a community!

According to the Detroit News, about 5,000 protesters "expressed anger" in Lansing today.  Yeah, anger ... They must have seen this little girl holding a sign saying "Change Even I Can Count."

Is cuteness scary to the Left?

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a report concerning the "rise in 'rightwing extremist activity'."

The Washington Times reports:

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as ...

It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration ...

And this is on the heels of releasing the report titled The Modern Militia Movement.

It's nuts! The government is completely out of control.

Texas is the only state that was a nation prior to be annexed (Republic of Texas) by the United States.

Governor Rick Perry:

In my continuing effort to shine a light on the forgotten past of conservative politics, I'd like to share some of the thoughts and writings of Senator Robert Taft, the die-hard conservative and sworn enemy of New Deal Socialism.  Taft's strong conservative credentials led to him being the definition of the Republican Party itself, being known widely as, "Mr. Republican."

Being a genuine and principled conservative, Taft was attacked by both the Left and Establishment Right, obscuring his positions and ultimately scarring his legacy.  As a protector of the Constitution and champion of liberty, he often opposed foreign wars and was therefore labeled (falsely) as an "isolationist" and/or "obstructionist."  Further adding insult, the stalwart anti-communist Taft, was labeled a "super-appeaser" who would "execute the foreign policy of Stalin."

Just a little round-up of some of the stuff I've been reading.  May be timely, may not ... but it's certainly all interesting!

According to the Beltway's National Chamber of Commerce, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton are more pro-business than Republicans Ron Paul, Jim DeMint, James Inhofe, and John Kyle.

Why?  They were against the Great Wall Street Bailout of 2008, The Motor City Bailout, corporate "renewable energy" welfare, and the creation of a copyright czar.
