Here at The Classic Liberal Blog (as our regular readers are aware), we like to throw in some non-political posts from time to time.  This is one of those times.

In light of everything going on with the auto industry, and being a native-Detroiter myself (OK, metro-Detroiter, but we all consider ourselves Detroiters around here), I thought it'd be nice to look at some of the good things that have come out of Ford, Chrysler, and GM.

What good is coming out of the Detroit autos these days you ask?

Cars!  Fast ... sweet ... hot cars!

So while the Left tries to convince themselves that only IF ... "if they would have been making 'green' cars" ... that obviously not too many people actually want to buy ...

And while still others, pontificate the mis-management, competitive markets, and diabolical union monopolies ... Today, you and I, are going to visually examine how those of us here, in the heart and home of the American auto industry, look at these fun and incredible gas-guzzling machines.

That Birkenstock crowd may very well want (DEMAND is more accurate to how they do it these days) slow, tiny go-carts, fueled by tree leaves, cow manure, and magic elixirs ... hey, this America, go ahead and buy whatever you want!  But ...

"We the people of Detroit," prefer All-American automobiles ... with horsepower, torque, and speed!

So, let's start off with the most bad-ass automobile to ever come off an assembly line ... the 638hp Corvette ZR1!

And in my opinion, the coolest Supercar ever made ... the Ford GT!

well just found this site and im pretty impressed…bounced around for about 20 minutes or so, seems pretty well done and interesting…think i will give you your 6-8 weeks so suggest to impress me so go for it..as long as ur not a hilary lover then i think i will stay. but i agree..born raised and enjoy michigan. too bad we got a moron for a governor…”4 more years and you will be blown away”. yea im sure we are all impressed with her by now..stupid canadian. but the auto industry has been screwing this up for years. massive overpaying employees and the cost of things. now they want help cuz they screwed it up for so long. how about we get rid of that pool that all those lazy people sit in.. collecting 95 percent pay for years just waiting to be called in to work..my opinion that absolute dumbiest idea in the world… mismanagement all day long. but you cant blame the 3 guys now running them, they inherited this crap and now look like abunch of morons begging for billions to save their sorry butts..maybe they shouldnt get the money so they can file bankrupty. after all just cuz you file doesnt mean your closing your doors, just means ur “restructing”. after all kmart did it a few years ago and look at them now. just my opinion. what does everyone else have to think. will check back every few days. but your doing good mr CL, keep up the good work so far. hey at least you got 1 fan out here.
