"I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training." - Joe Biden(D), August 2007
Is Obama ready? Does he have the experience to handle the job of President of the United States of America - the most powerful man in the world?
Well ... in 1985, the Woods Fund, provided a grant of $25,000 to the Developing Communities Project (DCP) to hire Barack Obama as an "organizer". The Woods Fund was founded by the Woods family, the owners of the Sahara Coal Company, a major supplier of coal to the electric power company Commonwealth Edison, run by Bill Ayers father, Thomas Ayers.
Obama served on the board of the Woods Fund from 1993-2002. Bill Ayers joined the board in 1999, and still serves on the board today. Bill served as chairman of the board for 2 of those years. In 1987, the Alliance for Better Chicago Schools (ABC's) was formed in order to lobby for a mandate that would establish a new power center over the Chicago public schools, and act as a watchdog over union teachers and principals, including the power to fire them at will.
Bill Ayers organized the ABC's organization. During this time, Obama was working on school reform for the DCP, who was continuing to receive financial support from the Woods Fund. The DCP was a member of the ABC's, as well as Chicago United, a group established by Thomas Ayers.
Here's where Bernadine Dohrn, Bill Ayers wife and bombing accomplice, enters the picture. Dohrn earned a law degree at the University of Chicago, but was refused admission to the bar because of her criminal past. She did, however, land a job with the prestigious legal firm Sidley Austin. Obama went off to Harvard Law School in 1988, but when he returned to Chicago after his first year, he went to work for the legal powerhouse Sidley Austin too!
Thomas Ayers's friend Howard Trienens, managing partner of Sidley Austin at the time, admitted to hiring Dohrn, despite the fact she had never practiced law, and had been out of school for more than 17 years. "We often hire friends," said Trienens. Thomas Ayers and fellow classmate Howard Trienens, also served on the board together at Northwestern University, where Dohrn teaches today.
After his summer at Sidley Austin, Obama went back to Harvard where he was elected president of Harvard Law Review, an accomplishment that could easily had him clerking for the Supreme Court. Strangely, Barack went to work for Bernadine Dohrn's former classmate Judson Miner instead. In 1993, Bill Ayers organized a team to put together a grant proposal to secure about $50 million from the Chicago Annenburg Challenge (CAC), an organization he founded and chaired. The money was to be used to bolster the radical Local School Councils project that both Ayers and Obama championed through the ABC's.
They got their grant, and in 1995 Barack Obama was named chairman of the board at the CAC. Ayers was named co-chair, in charge of the CAC's operative body, the Chicago School Reform Collaborative. Obama and Ayers worked together for the next 5 years raising another $60 million to intervene in the governance of the Chicago public schools.
This guy who just lives in Obama's neighborhood, has had a significant role thus far in Obama's professional career. And their cozy relationship doesn't end here.
In 1995, when Barack Obama began his first run for the State Senate to replace State Senator Alice Palmer, she took Obama to the home of Ayers and Dohrn for a high-powered meet-and-greet with the elite of Chicago's leftist political class. Obama's campaign tried to claim this was the first time he had met the radical authoritarian leftists, but as we already know, he had known them for a long-time already.
While serving in the State Senate, Barack Obama worked on a panel discussion, organized by Michelle Obama, with Dohrn and Ayers to block a bill that would allow parallel juvenile and adult sentences, with the adult sentence held as a threat if serious offenders violated the terms of their conviction.
Bill Ayer's has a political agenda. His agenda has not changed since the 1960's, when he notoriously proclaimed, "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents." His agenda today, starting with the Chicago public schools, is to indoctrinate America's future teachers in the revolutionary cause, urging them to pass on the lessons to their students. In Ayers own words, K-12 teachers need to "be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and . . . be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, a teacher teaching for social justice and liberation."
Today, Bill Ayers is the vice president of the 25,000-member American Educational Research Association (AERA), the nation's largest organization of education-school professors and researchers. The AERA is pushing a proposal for the repayment of "education debt". In other words, reparations. This extremely radical proposal has been endorsed by Obama's education advisor Linda Darling-Hammond, she even wrote about it in The Nation.
Obama also hired a friend of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Mike Klonsky, to be the blogger on his campaign website. His blog was quickly shut-down as bloggers began to figure out who he was. Klonsky, who received $175,000 grant from Obama and Ayers through the CAC, was a member of the 1960's organization Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). After the SDS fell apart, Mike went on to form the October League, which became the Beijing-recognized Communist Party.
In 1977, as chairman of the party, Klonsky traveled to Beijing, and toasted the Chinese Stalinist leadership, who "hailed the formation of the Communist Party as 'reflecting the aspirations of the proletariat and working people,' effectively recognizing the group as the official "US Maoist party." (Elbaum, Revolution in the Air, 228).
Oh ... and let's not forget Obama's mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. This "mentor" of his, was a member of the Communist Party USA, which was controlled and subsidized by the Soviet Communist Party and the KGB.
That's Barack Obama's experience in a nutshell. And these are the people he works with and hires. These are his people.
Is this the right kind of experience to lead America?
I don't think so.
