"Cap and Trade" is not just a tax, it's a tax on EVERYTHING! It will increase the price of every single product you purchase.
Do you buy food? If "cap and trade" passes, your groceries will be more expensive. Do you buy clothing? Clothes will cost more too. Do you drive a car? Perhaps to work? It'll cost you a bundle to do so. Buy toilet paper? Well, it's gonna cost you more money to wipe.
The economy is bad, and only continues to get worse. Can you really afford to spend more on every single thing you buy?
Unfortunately, most Americans can't. This is no tax on "the rich," or "corporations," or whatever ... this is a BIG GIANT TAX on YOU!
Cap and Trade Hits the Poor the Hardest
Make no mistake about it, if the Waxman-Markey "cap and trade" bill passes, YOUR standard of living will deteriorate. And sure, a handful of wealthy and politically connected businessmen, as well as a bunch of politicians too, will get rich off the scheme. But YOU ... you will suffer. Severely.

A Special Note to Republicans: If you have even an ounce of conservatism in your body, this bill should must serve as an absolute litmus test. Any Republican politician that votes in favor of this bill, must never, and I mean NEVER, get your support again. Period.
Let me put it this way: If you support a Republican who voted for this bill, even if they try to convince you he/she is the "best chance" for Republicans to gain back control ... you're only shooting yourself in the foot. Why?
Because by doing so, you might as well have voted for a Democrat! Same result. The party doesn't matter, only the results do.
YOU are in charge, not the party, and we've reached "put-up or shut-up" time in America for all politicians! When it's done, regardless if it passes or not, show absolutely no mercy on ANYONE who supported this Monstrosity From Hell That Will Destroy the American Economy!
