Repulican Strategery
Bill Quick asks, "Can I Possibly Gag Down this Shit Sandwich?"
[W]ould you stop reading DP if I said I was going to vote for Romney, even though I know damned well that I'm falling prey to the eternal GOP ruling class scam, "Vote for our shit sandwich, he's not quite as bad as the Democrat mountain of shit?"

Ron Paul — The Spirit of 76!
Ron Paul's appeal and his early primary success seems to baffle both mainstream pundits and the party-devoted alike. Trying to figure it out, Robert Stacy McCain asks:
How is it, for example, that a 76-year-old with a reedy voice — his appearance and manner not remotely "presidential" by the usual standards of the TV age — is an idol to so many youth?
Rick Santorum’s Conservative Delusions
With one of two super PACs supporting Republican candidate Rick Santorum closing up shop, most likely, the entire Santorum campaign isn't very far behind. But he's still in the race as of now, and considering South Carolina's penchant for supporting Establishment types, Rick Santorum might still have a (long) shot.
So, let's take a look at the man self-styled "conservatives" have eagerly adopted as their latest "Anybody But Romney" candidate.

Blog Note: Thanks for your patience over the past few days. As you can probably see, I'm working on some improvements to the blog that will make your visit more enjoyable. Hopefully the site is already loading faster for you, and the blogroll page has been enhanced too. I'm a finance guy, not a code guy, so it's taking longer to finish than I'd like. We'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming soon.
