Politics Daily: How Palin could win the nomination

Long story short, as things stand, she’s a threat to win the GOP nomination but an almost certain loser in the general election unless economic conditions have deteriorated to the point where any Republican would be a threat to knock off Obama. But if any Republican would stand a good chance of winning, why would the GOP nominate the one Republican who would galvanize the Democrats in opposition? The more beatable Obama looks, the greater the temptation will be to nominate an inoffensive “electable” candidate like Romney and make the election a referendum on The One’s record; the less beatable Obama looks, the greater the temptation to roll the dice and nominate a lightning rod like Palin who can draw media attention away from Obama. Exit question one: Er, why would she (or anyone else) want to run if Obama doesn’t look beatable, i.e. if the economy starts coming back and unemployment begins to decrease? Exit question two: If Obama does look beatable, what can the RNC do to tilt the table away from Palin and towards some more “electable” candidates?

When my grandfather was born, the only interaction between his family and the federal government took place when the postman stopped by. Today, the federal government plans to impose fines and jail time on people who choose not to buy health insurance. The loss of liberty the government has inflicted upon us over the years is devastating, and your "electable" Republicans deserve at least 50% of the blame.

The Federal Reserve monetary inflation, along with the slow rise of our neo-fascist State (corporatism), has destroyed substantial amounts of wealth. The government budget deficits have burdened Americans far beyond the cause of our Revolutionary War. And today's Bush/Obama take-overs of the auto industry, the banks, and now health care, has set our economic path towards certain doom. In other words, the economy will not start "coming back" anytime soon.

"no one can find a safe way out for himself if society is sweeping towards destruction," - Ludwig von Mises, Socialism.

The government's unfunded liabilities now surpass $100 trillion, meaning we've reached a point where it's impossible for it to be paid back in real terms. The economic laws of supply and demand cannot be suspended. Thus, we face a dire period of economic adjustment - a drastic decline in our material lives.

Anyone who denies our government is on a path towards a full neo-fascist command economy is simply fooling themselves. There is no recovery on the horizon, and you can throw blame at whomever you like ... But a fact which cannot be denied, is the critical role that "electable" Republicans have played in getting us here.

"Electable" Republicans offer no "hope" or "change."

As a nation, we face 2 inevitable outcomes: 1) hyperinflation, or 2) the financial failure of the State. Either way, it will be painful for us all. The only good news is, our economic reality means the death of our neo-fascist State. And don't kid yourself about this reality either, it's the reason why the sovereignty of our nation is at stake.

Is Sarah Palin the perfect politician? No. Perfect politicians don't exist. But her appeal is more important than anything an "electable" candidate can offer. People see Palin as an outsider, somebody who isn't an "electable" Republican. The great thing about this, is that it shows there's still great desire in America for freedom and liberty, which has always served the general welfare of everyone, far better than the legal plunder of the State (under any "party").

So instead of wringing your hands over stupid politicians, especially Statists like Romney, please spend your time developing a better understanding of economics and the value of freedom. Then use your talents and influence to spread the good word! Because if America truly matters to you, that is, the American Creed (and I believe it does), nevermind the politicians and their stupid games. Instead, start spreading the truth!

Obviously, you can vote for and support whomever you like. Please just remember what's truly at stake. Because "electable" Republicans can't save us, only freedom and liberty can.

Sincerely,

Mike Todd

The Dems didn’t play it safe when whomever the Pubs nominated was going to be “eminently beatable” (because of GWB). They nominated the most radical, far left, inexperienced candidate evuh. I don’t want Palin to win the nomination either, but I sure as heck don’t want Romney or Huckleberry. More choices please…
