Does Obama Hate Prayer?

Well, here we go again.

I opened up my Facebook today and read this: President Obama has decided that there will no longer be a "National day of prayer" held in May. He doesn't want to offend anybody. Where was his concern about offending Christians last January when he allowed the Muslims to hold a day of prayer on the capitol grounds. As a Christian American "I am offended."

I searched and searched and searched and I could not find anything on this. Just a bunch of stories about how the president says prayer is a big part of his life...blah, blah, blah.

It is true President Obama canceled the White House's annual participation in the event last year, but who was surprised by that? Like any good Liberal, the president claims to be a Christian but won't dare express it because that would offend his base of supporters that believe all religions are cool, except Christianity.

Even on Easter, President Obama wouldn't talk about Jesus as the Savior. In fact, he used the occasion to talk about all religions, which is the perfect way to ease Liberal guilt or be inclusive or something. I still am waiting for the president to talk about all faiths and atheism on a Muslim or Jewish holiday. I doubt that will ever happen. That would be considered hateful by people like Keith Olbermann.

I don't think the president is a Christian but I don't think he is a Muslim either. And even if he is, I don't care. The world won't come crashing down if he came out tomorrow and said he was a Muslim.

It really won't matter because he won't make political waves with his beliefs. It's not like the country would become the new Saudi Arabia.

I think we need to ease up on all this religious talk when it comes to the president. It is obvious he is no friend to Christians and will bend under the pressure of the atheists and Liberals, so forget about it. The more the Christians try to get President Obama to act in a friendly way toward them, the more he will move in the opposite direction to appease his base.

If Christians really want to make a difference, they need to get on their knees and pray for the president and our leaders. If we move the heart of God just a tiny bit, that will make a bigger difference than a million Facebook posts.

What say you?

You are spot-on CL with this analysis. Excellent post. I agree with you when you stated: The more the Christians try to get President Obama to act in a friendly way toward them, the more he will move in the opposite direction to appease his base.

    So true.
