The state tends to expand in proportion to its means of existence and to live beyond its means, and these are, in the last analysis, nothing but the substance of the people. What are the moral convictions most fondly held by barbarous and semi-barbarous people? They are the convictions that authority is the soundest basis of belief; that merit attaches to readiness to believe; that the doubting disposition is a bad one, and skepticism is a sin. -- Thomas Henry Huxley

There's another war on drugs going on within the FDA. You should take a look at this documentary about Dr Burzynski's fight against the FDA, CL.

That's quite an impressive collection of links. I don't know how you find the time to post as often as you do, and write posts as thorough as your posts typically are.

In regards to the first two links on the list, the issue at hand (the War on Drugs) may well convert me into a Ron Paul voter/supporter before all is said and done. I notably did not support Paul in 2000 or 2008, but this time am seriously considering him for my vote in the LA GOP Primary.

In regards to the one about defense of the constitution, does not the U.S. military enlistment oath require service members to 'protect and defend the United States Constitution from ALL enemies foreign AND DOMESTIC"? Does not this require the military to depose of comrade Obama in much the same way Honduras got rid of its communist would-be dictator?

    I await your insights.

This exact question has been on my mind lately too, although I'd extend your list of comrades to include a good 95% of the federal government. I don't have an answer right now, and when I do, it'll simply be an educated guess. But it seems to me that right now, the military is more loyal to the Ruling Class than they are to the constitution. There's certainly no constitutional authority to be fighting a war in Libya for example, yet there they are doing it.
