It is not your right to receive from me, nor my responsibility to pay, for your health care. It's not up to me to buy for you any of the other things you might require as well, like drugs, sorry, I mean "Meds", food, cable TV or your piece of shit foreign car with the Obama bumper sticker on the back. Welcome to the freedom of America!
Sorry, but you are not a victim of me, therefore I owe you nothing more than to respect your rights as a fellow human being. If I choose to be charitable, that's my business, and my decision. It's certainly not up to someone else. If it is, then it's not charity. Instead, it's the power of the gun - socialism.
Sounds really cold doesn't it? I must be a real prick ... What about the children?
Cry, cry, cry ... let's go hug somebody, or better yet, let's suck our thumbs as the Nanny State cares for us, and pop that thumb out, only to whine about how cold us REALISTS are. Who has the right to tell me what I must do in this land of capitalist freedom? Ooooo ... I used the word "CAPITALIST!" I'm sure someone reading this somewhere just choked on that sticky thumb (or perhaps it's in some other orifice?).
Yes! Capitalism! Freedom!
Is it perfect? No, nothing is perfect, but it's real.
The F-word, you know ... FREEDOM, is what has made this country so great! And it's FREE-dom, not king-dom, you-dom, me-dom, or we-dom. You have the freedom to eat fast food every day, sit on your lazy ass poppin' pills, and makin' sweet love to your spouse, uh, I mean "partner". And I have the freedom as well, to not pay for it all!
Sounds fair to me. Your freedoms are just as important in this country as mine.
I think this illustrates one of the biggest differences between what I would call "us and them". Some people think that because we have made sacrifices, worked hard, and as a result accomplished something, that we have to now share that with people that maybe didn't work as hard.
Now wait a minute! I'm being cold again ... instead, let's refer to them as "people who are less fortunate".
Let's think about that ... Where does this idealistic crap lead us to as a sustainable society? Should I tell my kids not to work hard or get an education because it is useless? Why not just take the free ride? What the hell? It's all going to get redistributed anyways!
Soon, no one will be here to pick up the tab anymore. Then what? That's the real long term effect of redistribution of wealth. In the end, there will be no wealth, just poverty for all - remember the USSR?
I bet, in a sick and twisted way, that scenario would make some people very happy. Our potential new president for example, "The One," could give his people bread, and there would be no personal failures anymore. Even the cry babies would be finally be right - everything does suck, you can't win, and the man finally got us all!
