Eric Massa was elected by the people to be their representative in Washington, but a handful of political and media insiders have managed to force him out. What does this say about our supposed "consent of the governed?"

Who knows? Because too few are interested in a relevant question like that.

I watched him on Glenn Beck last night, which wasn't very good, because Glenn Beck is a terrible interviewer. But it seems obvious to me that the power elite and their media lap-dogs are attempting to smear this man for exposing the truth that criminal syndicates run our government.

How dare he!

Look. I don't have to agree with his politics to accept the fact that Washington is run by corporate and other special interests (who hold the purse strings), and I'm not going to join the crowd in attacking him for things that had nothing to do with his job as a people's representative.

Hey, if you believe corporate and special interest money comes with no string attached ... you need to grow up. So I'm happy he gave us a peek at the truth. You know, the way a real people's representative should!

Other Opinions on Eric Massa:

You Can Hang Out With All the Boys

The right may be backing off its brief romance with Eric Massa, but I've decided I like the man. Partly because he's offering just the right combination of conspiracy theories, gay sex, and left/right convergence to make the world feel like a Gore Vidal novel. And partly because he's inspiring reporters to produce stories like this one ...

Video: Beck, Michelle Malkin go toe to toe over Massa interview

This starts off as an intellectual discourse on the use of apostates in political arguments, but descends to a pity party on Glenn Beck’s part when he goes after Michelle Malkin for criticizing his decision to give an hour to Eric Massa. It starts downhill at the moment that Beck says, “I don’t understand you people,” which takes the Boss Emeritus aback.

What to do when the media template doesn’t fit: What is Massa? Hero, Lunatic, or Evil Genius

So when you shift gears as to whether Massa or the White House or Steny Hoyer is telling the truth about why Massa was pushed out of office, Massa’s past is irrelevant. The media is trying to convince the public that out of the gaggle of compulsive liars in the Democrat Party, we are to trust Massa least because his lies were the most recently exposed.

When Massa tried to leave quietly by citing health reasons, Steny Hoyer threw Massa under the bus. Why point out Massa’s sexual misconduct when it would obviously hurt the Democrat’s election chances in a district they were hard pressed to hold?

Are they messing with Massa or did Massa mess up?

Massa says he's innocent of anything more than a few borderline comments at a party. But he has resigned in order, he says, to avoid an investigation that would injure his family and divide his staff.

But if Massa's version of the facts is correct, then he has little to fear from an investigation. Moreover, any investigation would likely occur only after Massa cast his "no" vote. If he truly believed he was the victim of the vicious plot he alleges, Massa would likely stick around to cast his vote and then leave town. What better way to get back at Emmanuel and company?

The Democrats’ Bad Week Gets Worse

As details emerge about former Rep Eric Massa’s (D-NY) misdeeds, he becomes the latest embarrassment for the Democrats.  His stories about Rahm Emanuel may tend toward exaggeration, but now that he is getting attention throughout the media, more and more people are learning about the Rahm with whom we on the right have long been familiar, the ruthless political operative who swears in public meetings and sends dead fish to pollsters who displeased him.

And people are learning about the White House Chief of Staff’s novel way of doing things (that new kind of Chicago politics) the week after scandals involving prominent New York Democrats broke.  The mainstream media may try to bury the news about former House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel and outgoing New York Governor David Paterson (which would still dominate the headlines if either man had an (R) after his name), but the stories remain fresh on people’s minds.

From naked shower fights to…back wax…and a Capitol Hill gropefest…now, interns…and… “tickle fights”…ugh…x-ray tumors, oh dear…

Okay, this week is grossing me out. Can we hit the reset button?

We’ve gone from crapweasel Eric Massa’s claims about naked shower summits with Rahm Emanuel to a Florida GOP Senate spat over…back wax.

Really.

Uncertainty prevails in Washington as Democrats wait for health care Budget Office ruling

The only stuff relevant to the politics of governing the country are the allegations of corruption. But instead, we get soap operas about "tickle-fights" and other such nonsense, along with self-appointed Gate Keepers arguing over who should or shouldn't interview him.

So there you have it ... 2-minutes of hate with Eric Massa. Just another story illustrating how pathetic political discourse has become in America.

What say you?
