"The people are right. We are wrong."
Exactly. Instead of everyone bowing and scraping to the Republican Party, the Party should pay better attention to the people.
It's like the old school R's want to lose...
Well, if they keep up their foolishness, they're going to. It's one extreme to the other at CPAC, with some saying everyone must go with the party line... and then they pick BECK (who I consider insane) as keynote speaker. The same Beck who's pushing third-party votes.
Never mind the disconnect between gay GOPers and their detractors...
I think at the moment the right is more fractured than I've ever seen the left.

This is another sign of the disconnect WITHIN the party. They old time, "Rockefeller" crowd, that is basically socialism-lite, and the base are at odds. They need to realize that we are the base. They may lose with us, but they'll NEVER win without us.
Right, and if I may be frank, I could give 2 shits about the Republican Party. They may be a means to an ends, but that's as far as it goes.
I believe we're heading for some very hard economic times, thanks to the 2 monopoly parties. Yes, 100% of the blame falls on them. That said, it means little to me to merely "beat the Democrats." Our problems have taken us way past that point. We're in for a rough ride.
I hope I'm wrong, I really do. But history and the facts are on my side. All fiat currencies collapse. All central banks collapse. Always. Nothing changes but technology, that's why history constantly repeats itself.
God help us all!

I think it was a mistake to boo Ron Paul. He is wrong on several issues, some very important ones too, but he has also energized a lot of frankly good people.
Like any large group there are going to be crazy uncles within them (see Crazy uncles) etc... but you have to respect people and their opinions.
I think I would rather have friends I disagree with on occasionally than enemies I respect.
I am flattered that you found my short films of such interest.
Great interviews! I find us "regular" people so much more interesting than the big shots.
It didn't surprise me about the reaction to Ron Paul, but he's gaining ground where others aren't, for example, look at how much success he had taking on the Fed last year! He accomplished more than any other Republican politician last year.
I'm an economics geek, so Ron Paul's my kind of guy! I also think we're heading for economic disaster, so financial policy trumps pretty much everything for me. But hey, this is America, we all have our own opinions. I just wish the old right and new right could learn to get along.
