A round-up of the latest news regarding the Democrat health care bill.
“Bitter, Destructive & Endless” Drive to Pass Health Care (Video)
Terrific… Nothing like a little reminder to democrats on the mood of the nation a week before they plan to ram Obamacare down our throats.
“And from my travels and conversation with people throughout this country, they told me that they want their President and Congress to focus on creating jobs and reviving America’s economy. Instead, for more than a year now, we have seen a bitter, destructive, and endless drive to completely transform America’s health care system."
Isn't It Time To Euthanize Reid's Wife?
I'm not sure I quite understand this, given that cost is so important as a burden to taxpayers when it comes to health care. If Democrats want so badly to abort babies because of it, why are we bothering with someone who has a broken neck and back at 69? It sounds to me like she's pretty well used up and has probably been living off the taxpayers for plenty of years to begin with. Aren't we at least going to get a vote on it?
A Rhetorical Question, We Presume
Dan Riehl certainly knows how to provoke Alan Colmes to paroxysms of self-righteous indignation — a praiseworthy project in itself, quite apart from getting written up by the thought-police at Media Matters.
In defense of Dan Riehl…
Clearly, this is satire. Dan’s a snarky bastard, and he is ruthless about the truth – both qualities I sincerely appreciate. The language of the post is meant to draw attention to the hypocrisy of the left, and highlight the callousness of Democratic leadership in light of Stupak’s statements. The attitude that life is an obstacle for their proposed health care program is nauseating at best, and rightly pissed a lot of people off this week.
The thing is, this isn’t a new attitude. This has been Democratic attitude for a long time – it’s become life vs. their health care takeover. Pregnancies and new people are an inconvenience when you’ve decided it’s your duty to control all of them. Remember last year when Pelosi said that birth control was the best economic stimulus?
"People should not fear their government, their government should fear the people"
Democratic pollsters Patrick Caddell and Douglas Schoen reflect on polling data about Obamacare and the broader issue of government intrusion into the private sphere:
[A] solid majority of Americans opposes the massive health-reform plan. Four-fifths of those who oppose the plan strongly oppose it, according to Rasmussen polling this week, while only half of those who support the plan do so strongly. Many more Americans believe the legislation will worsen their health care, cost them more personally and add significantly to the national deficit. Never in our experience as pollsters can we recall such self-deluding misconstruction of survey data.
Yet, the Democrats seem bound and determined to ram Obamacare down our throats no matter what the cost.
Socialized Medicine, Obamacare, Obama and Democrats View of Life and Government - Bart Stupak
This one is simple folks. Pro-life Democrat and former 'no' vote on Obamacare, Michigan Representative Bart Stupak (R-MI) just summed up the progressive agenda, the progressive Democrat leadership and Barack Hussein Obama. Robert Costa of National Review Online talked to Stupak yesterday about his key vote (to strike abortion funding out of health care 'reform') and his band of 12 Democrats that feel the same. Listen to this:
....Stupak notes that his negotiations with House Democratic leaders in recent days have been revealing. “I really believe that the Democratic leadership is simply unwilling to change its stance,” he says. “Their position says that women, especially those without means available, should have their abortions covered.” The arguments they have made to him in recent deliberations, he adds, “are a pretty sad commentary on the state of the Democratic party.”
What are Democratic leaders saying? “If you pass the Stupak amendment, more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more. That’s one of the arguments I’ve been hearing,” Stupak says. “Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America? If money is the issue — come on, we can find room in the budget. This is life we’re talking about.”
So essentially a life, unborn or not to these 'progressive' fascists is a 'cost' to be avoided. When will you, a loved one, or a grandparent be viewed the same? Frankly when will any of us be viewed as a 'cost'?
FAKE Catholic Group (Not Even Catholic) Supports Senate’s Pro-Abortion Health Care Bill
REMEMBER: DEMOCRATS WILL STOP AT NOTHING… to deceive the American public in order to take control of one-sixth of the US economy with their health care suicide pact.
Today, a far left pro-abortion group that calls itself a “Catholics in Alliance For the Common Good” published a dishonest letter that suggested that a Catholic organization backed the democrat’s pro-abortion takeover of the health care industry. This supposed Catholic group is a who’s who of far left radicals. The group includes non-Catholic leftists and even has non-Catholic pro-abortion democrat Hillary Clinton listed as one of its leaders.
Of course, this is an awful lie by a group of leftists who want to portray themselves as holy warriors. The truth is that pro-life Catholic groups OPPOSE the Senate’s version of Obamacare.
These people are liars.Stacy McCain discovered that the group includes a commie-supporting Sandinista stooge Jim Wallis as a supporter.
Joel Carter, another non-Catholic who signed the decree, gave the closing benediction on the final day of the 2008 Democratic National Convention, prayed with Obama on election day and lied about Obama’s abortion record.
Dr. David Gushee, another non-Catholic in the pro-abortion Catholic group, is a Baptist. He endorsed a fake abortion funding compromise in the Senate bill in December.
As you continue to go down the list it becomes obvious that it is a list of radical leftists not pro-life Catholics.
Discovered: A Republican Who Supports ObamaCare
Well, he was an elected Republican. Until he took a job reporting to Barack Obama. Real stunner one of Obama's cabinet members would support his disastrous health-care plan, isn't it?
RED ALERT: We Are Now Living Under Martial Law -- House Democrats Appear Set to Pass Senate Bill Without Voting On It
In the Slaughter Solution, the rule would declare that the House "deems" the Senate version of Obamacare to have been passed by the House. House members would still have to vote on whether to accept the rule, but they would then be able to say they only voted for a rule, not for the bill itself.
Thus, Slaughter is preparing a rule that would consider the Senate bill "passed" once the House approves a corrections bill that would make changes. Democrats would thereby avoid a direct vote on the health care bill while allowing it to become law!
Constitutional attorney Mark R. Levin asks, "They're going to present a rule, issued by her committee as chairman, that says that the House already adopted the Senate bill when we know it didn't?"
Pelosi: I'm delighted the President will be here to burn the Constitution in Effigy... it's going to be historic.
Yesterday evening, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi celebrated the imminent passage of a sweeping health care reform bill by burning the Constitution in effigy, a symbolic act that she said expressed her disdain for the document.
By tying a nationalization of the student loan business into a reconciliation bill, Pelosi hopes to convince skeptical House Democrats that she's serious about fixing the Senate bill.
What's their endgame? Even a simpleton or a Democrat (but I repeat myself), would admit that it has nothing to do with health care. It's a political calculation: Democrats are willing to lose Congress in November if they can create a brand new unfunded entitlement that will cement the power of government over the citizen.
Yep. This health care bill has nothing to do with health care. It's about control. The control over the people by the political class.

You about covered all the bases here CL. Well done.
