With Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens calling it quits, President Obama will get to pick his second justice to sit on the top court in the land. Earlier he placed Sonia Sotomayor on the bench. And what a great choice because we all know a Latina woman is smarter and more capable than a white guy.
So, with a second choice on President Obama's plate, I am offering my advice. Unless, there is a gay, bi-racial, hermaphrodite, illegal immigrant, atheist, liberal, who thinks abortions should be handed out free to girls like Life Savers with law experience out there, then this will be a tough call for the president.
To help my president in his search, I recommend Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. She is the right choice for President Obama but not a good choice for the position.Let me explain.
As governor of Michigan, she has been a miserable failure. Each year, the state goes deeper in debt, unemployment goes up (just over 14%), jobs continue to disappear, and she has no idea how to rebound the downward spiral.
She won her first term in 2002 and the state was losing jobs and in a recession while the rest of the nation was doing well economically. When she ran - and for some reason - reelection in 2006 - she actually had a political ad that proudly claimed her administration brought 300 high-paying jobs to the state. That's right 300. Not 300,000, 30,000 or even 3,000. What a joke.
She has no judge experience. but she was Michigan's attorney general.
Here's why she is a good choice for the president.
- Granholm is a woman. That will satisfy the Left's desire to avoid having a white male do anything as a way of appeasing their made-up guilt.
- She cannot make a decision. Normally, a judge should be able to make a decision, but with Granholm on the bench, the White House have at least one vote they can control.
- She is pro-abortion. To her credit, she has voted against partial birth abortions.
- She probably agrees with gay marriage but won't commit to it. Instead, she says things like she is in favor of
- Granholm is like most Liberals. She uses God when it suits her. For example, during her first term she said this when discussing the budget : "Often those who cloak themselves in a cape of religiosity happen to be some who are the biggest cutters. Now, some of that can balance out. But when you get to cutting the services for the least of these – in the 25th chapter of Matthew in the 37th verse the Lord says, 'Whatsoever you do to the least of these, so also you do unto me' – that's when I question whether somebody is really living out the faith that they profess." (What about her faith? She claims to be a Catholic which clearly is against abortion? Also, wouldn't a baby in the womb be the least of us?)
- Granholm has no experience with being a judge. That could be a good thing because most judges thing it is their job to create laws. Just ask Sotomayor.
These are just a few reasons why Granholn would be a good choice for President Obama, but not necessarily the best choice for the job.
I kid. The decision to select a new Supreme Court Justice is a big one and I am not looking forward to who finally gets selected. It will be some activist judge who thinks the U.S. Constitution is just a suggestion and not the law of the land.

Good stuff CL. I can't wait to see who this buffoon nominates.
Thanks! But that was Michigan.J.Blogger. I'll have to do something to make the author name stand out more on the posts.
Yes please take her away from Michigan she will go down in history as the worst governor we ever had.
