kelly-bundyIt's Rule 5 Saturday!

Christina Applegate (34-23-35) was born on November 25, 1971 in Hollywood, California is best known as the character Kelly Bundy on 19080's sitcom Married with Children.  Christina began working on roles as a young child, and had appeared on "Family Ties", "Charles in Charge"and "Silver Spoons" before she became known to the world as 'Kelly Bundy' on "Married with Children".

Full Metal Saturday: Stacy Ferguson!

christina-applegate-kelly-bundy"Remember, attraction is a three-way street. Or is it a one-way tunnel? Hmm, in any case, I do know it's a four-lane highway, but it takes two to use the car-pool lane. I guess what I'm trying to say is, what the younger generation has learned is that there's nothing for us to watch on CBS, and you've got to be yourself. A man has to love you for you, not some costume. He's gotta love who you are." - Kelly

CBS Sports Hottie Hall of Fame put her up against Kelly Kapowski.  Although that's impressive competition, Kelly Bundy wins it if you ask me.  Here's more:

Kelly Bundy -- Christina Applegate -- As the apple of Al Bundy's eye, Kelly Bundy was the stereotypical 'dumb blonde' in the show Married with Children. Though the show, which lasted 11 seasons, focused mostly on the day to day encounters of the hilarious father of the family, Kelly is what we'll always remember.

Kelly's comedic function on the show revolved mostly around her lack of clothing or surplus of boyfriends, but there were times in which she showed amazing mental prowess. On a Bundy casino trip, Kelly can predict the number drawn on a roulette wheel when letting her mind go completely blank. On another show, Al used Kelly's savant-like ability to remember useless information by filling her head with sports statistics. Al nearly got the victory he wanted, but as usual, suffered another defeat as Kelly forgot an answer to a high school football question -- that just so happened to be about her father.christina-applegate

A flashback to Kelly's childhood in one episode revels her to have been an intelligent youngster who liked to read until she banged her head during a road trip and began focusing on her "shiny, shiny shoes." Though Applegate the actress has gone on to bigger roles both on the big screen and television, she'll always be the smoking hot daughter of the Bundy family at SPiN.

Since her brilliant role as Bundy, Christina's work includes the films The Big Hit, The Sweetest Thing, View from the Top and Anchor Man. She has twice had her own sitcoms, "Jesse" for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination and "Samantha Who?" which is currently gearing up for a second season and earned her an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in July 2008.

Kelly: [Kelly is giving Al relationship advice] Daddy, if you want Mom to give up the self defense class, you need to take her out.

Al: Don't you think I would have tried that a long time ago if I thought I could get away with it?

Kelly: No, I mean on a date. Try something nice; romantic movies always work for me.

Bud: A Happy Meal and a 'Hello Kitty' pencil always works for you.

hot-christina-applegateShe won an Emmy for her appearance as Rachel Green's (Jennifer Aniston) high maintenance younger sister on "Friends" and was nominated for a Tony in the musical Sweet Charity. She is also one of the founding members of the “Pussy Cat Dolls”!

Kelly: Daddy?

Al: What is it, pumpkin?

Kelly: Yeah, I just got a call from the doctor. I'm dying. I have Bolivia. The doctor says it's terminus.

Al: How long do you have, pumpkin?

Kelly: Until Christmas day, and the only known cure is a good present. One from the $225-$275 price range

Unfortunatley, she underwent treatment for breast cancer last year.  The disease was caught early, and luckily she's recovered.  Christina now spends most of her time working for her charity, Right Action for Women.

"As a survivor, I am committed to helping women access the information and tests they need to beat this disease ... Please join me and Right Action for Women. Together we can help give all women a chance to beat this disease. - Christina Applegate

Good post (came here from the Other McCain).

MWC was, for me, a hugely underrated show that was carried in no small measure by a group of talented actors (Ms Applegate in particular). The lamest jokes became funny and the funny jokes were uproarious because of that cast.

I didn't know that bit about the Pussy Cat Dolls - of course, I don't know much about pop culture in general if it isn't on the TVs at the club (mindless exercise needs mindless entertainment ;-) .

I didn't know about the Pussy Cat Dolls either, I was surprised. I always loved that show too, it was hilarious! And I agree, the whole cast was great, but growing up in the eighties as I did ... I heart Kelly Bundy! :-)
