The following is a general outline of progressive ideology. Ask yourself if any of this sounds familiar.

  1. Group Identity Politics: The primary political unit is not the individual, but an ascribed group based on race, ethnicity and/or gender.
  2. Oppressor vs. Victim Group Politics: In the tradition of Antonio Gramsci and the Frankfurt School, progressives insist there are only 2 types of groups: the oppressor and the oppressed. Thus in progressive ideology, “equity” and “social justice” means strengthening the position of the victim groups while weakening the positions of the oppressor groups. Progressives believe that equality under law should be replace by legal preferences (as determined by the governing authorities).
  3. Group Proportionalism: Progressive ideology assumes that “victim groups” should be represented in all professions in proportion to their percentage of the population at large. For example, if women make up 45% of the population, then 45% of all auto mechanics should be women. If not, the governing authority will intervene.
  4. Cultural Conformity: Progressives believe that all dominant institutions must change to reflect the perspectives of the designated “victim groups.”
  5. The Demographic Imperative: Because major demographic changes are taking place in the United States, progressives insist that American nationhood is obsolete. Because of this, individual rights, citizenship, and the assimilation of immigrants into existing American culture is too “narrow,” and therefore must be changed to promote “diversity.”
  6. Redefining Democracy: Progressives have been working to alter the definition of “democracy” from majority rule among equal citizens, to one of “power sharing” among ethnic groups composed of both citizens and non-citizens.
  7. Deconstruction of National Narratives and National Symbols: Progressive ideology insists that history be “revised, rethought, or jettisoned.”
  8. Post-National Citizenship: Based on theories of inclusion, social justice, and human rights, progressives argue for “global citizenship.”
  9. Global Governance: Progressives demand some form of transnational governance because they believe that the nation-state and national citizenship are but relics of the past.

Sounds eerily familiar, doesn't it? Just listen to an Obama speech, or one of the many other progressives in Washington.

Our Beltway-Betters and Washington Overlords like to marginalize these facts by labeling them “conspiracy theory.” But the truth is, they're either naive, or bald-faced lying.

Do your own homework and decide for yourself. Once you do however, be prepared to accept the deep distrust of power and government that our Founders taught us.
