One thing this series has pointed out so far (I hope), is that "the more things change, the more they stay the same." Let's face it, the "conservatives are bad / moderates are good" mantra has been around for a long, long time. Both in the party and media.
This segment of the series is short. Simply watch the following quick video about the Goldwater campaign. My favorite part is when Nelson Rockefeller gets booed at the Republican Convention. Some things were different (and I'd say better).
