With the federal government, along with most state governments, going broke ... progressives have run out of arguments.

So what do they do? Attack the Tea Parties!

State Dems scrambling to deploy tea party ‘crashers’

New Hampshire Democrats are engaged in a statewide search for liberal activists willing to attend so-called tea parties on Thursday and carry signs expressing racist or fringe sentiments, a Democratic source with knowledge of the effort tells NowHampshire.com.

According to the source, who sought anonymity for fear of reprisals, the Dems’ last minute scramble reflects a growing obsession among party leaders that they need to discredit the tea party movement soon or it will overwhelm them come the November election.

Former Democratic State Party Chairman Kathy Sullivan is heading up the search, the source said. Sullivan has been calling and e-mailing liberal activists trying to get them to attend tea parties in different parts of the state and hold signs denying the authenticity of President Barack Obama’s birth certificate and make racially disparaging comments to reporters.

“This is Kathy’s [Sullivan] project,” the source told NowHampshire.com. “She is absolutely obsessed with painting the tea party people as racists.”

'She Is Absolutely Obsessed With Painting the Tea Party People as Racists'

Is this the best you Democrats can do? If you think about it for a second, if Tea Partiers were the racist they're being portrayed as, then why would these sneaky Democrats have to bus people in to pretend to be racist Tea Partiers?

How A Prankster Plans To Infiltrate And Destroy The Tea Party Movement

Meet Jason Levin, quite possibly the scariest man in the tea party universe. An Oregon technology consultant, Levin is the leader of Crash The Tea Party, a plan to take down the tea party from the inside. Levin says he's got a growing cadre of supporters across the country, and conservatives from the message boards to the set of the Sean Hannity's show are getting nervous.

"Our plan is not to shout them down," Levin told me yesterday, "but to infiltrate them and push them farther from the mainstream."

The scheme reads like a sequel to "Being John Malkovich": Levin's group of protesters plan to get in the heads of tea partiers at the Tax Day Tea Parties nationwide Thursday and manipulate them right out of relevance. They'll dress like tea partiers, talk like tea partiers and carry signs like tea partiers.

"Our goal is that whenever a tea partier says 'Barack Obama was not born in America,' we're going be right right there next to them saying, 'yeah, in fact he wasn't born on Earth! He's an alien!" Levin explained. He said that by making the tea parties sound like a gathering of crazy people -- his group's goal -- the movement will lose its power.

Beware the wolves at Tax Day rallies

Following the vote and passage of universal health care in the U.S., an endless string of alleged “threats” began rapidly circulating the mainstream media with feverish fury, portraying the Tea Party and its attendees as nothing short of “racist,” “crazy” and “homophobic,” based off virtually zero evidence to back up their claims.

However, lack of evidence did not matter. The mainstream media picked up the stories and ran with them. Luckily for them, a new front organization has launched which could help them “validate” their claims and continue to spread misinformation to the general public.

A group called “Crash the Tea Party,” registered to a man named Jason Levin, is encouraging participants to attend nationwide Tea Party rallies on April 15 with one—and only one—objective in mind: to paint the Tea Party as pathetically disturbed and out of touch as possible. Ultimately, through no hidden secret, this is a tactic to crush the legitimacy of the movement and its members as a whole.

We'll expose infiltrators at tax day tea parties

For tea party organizers, this is both an irritation and a godsend. Since the movement's outset, tea partiers have fretted about liberals infiltrating their events. And leaders have speculated that the signs that have most embarrassed the movement were created by liberals trying to discredit activists.

"It gives us the opportunity to say, 'these are the guys doing this,'" said Steinhauser. "But overall it's not helpful. It's something we have to waste time and resources dealing with."

FreedomWorks has gamed out how to react to any show of violence or racism at Thursday's rallies. "We have a strategy to deal with them and a strategy to identify them," said Steinhauser. "Anyone who has a racist sign or an offensive sign, we'll ask them to put it down or leave. Under no circumstances are we going to allow the Lyndon LaRouche people to hand out their little signs comparing Obama to Hitler. We're going to film everything -- here's how it happened, how it went down." That last lesson, he said, was learned in the aftermath of the March 20 and 21 health-care rallies on the hill.
