    I think the lady just has a fascination with huge numbers. 500 million, 800 billion,..1.2 trillion. You know? I think they excite her.

    Maybe that's it! Big numbers are just exciting!

    Or ... scary. If you want to scare the populace into something, BIG numbers will do the trick. According to Science Daily:

    We all know that $1 is equal to 100 cents. But a new study suggests that, in some situations, people may behave as if 100 cents actually has more value.
