As everyone already knows, somebody hacked into Governor Sarah Palin's personal e-mail account and posted screen shots on the site 4chan.org.  Obviously this isn't something taken lightly, so both the FBI and Secret Service are investigating the case.

The hacker used a the proxy service Ctunnel.com, but the services owner Gabriel Ramuglia says the hacker left behind clues and he is happy to fully cooperate with the investigation. While there are numerous legitimate reasons to use a proxy service, this action is clearly in violation of both Ctunnels user agreement and the law.

Since this story broke, rumors have been circulating that the group "Anonymous" was involved.  Anonymous is most well known for their relentless attacks on the Church of Scientology, and exposing their multiple fraudulent activities and human rights violations.  According to their website, Anonymous has also:

... resulted in the closing of the white-supremacist radio show produced by Hal Turner, and the criminal prosecution of Canadian pedophile Chris Forcand.

The FBI case investigating the hacking of Palin's e-mail has narrowed, and a warrant has been served on University of Tennessee student David Kernell, who lives in the Commons apartment complex at 1115 Highland Avenue.  His roommates have also been subpoenaed.

Here's where it gets interesting ... David Kernell is the son of Mike Kernell, a Democrat state representative out of Memphis. Mike Kernell has said that he has spoken to his son, but declined further comment.

Was this the action of a college kid, an "Obamacrat" who took things too far?  Or was the hacking a deliberate attempt to smear Republican Sarah Palin?

I don't know, but things are starting to unravel.  A rumor is currently floating that this may be connected to David Plouffe, Barack Obama's campaign manager.

Stay tuned.

What say you?

Obama's campaign began as a sort of comfort zone for the rabid, irrational Bush-haters.

Its no surprise that a lot of them are so rabid they're willing to break the law and make wild, outrageous claims about Sarah Palin and her husband and her family, because to them she represents the same sector of the culture that elected Bush.

Only time will tell if the hacker was a rogue agent or part of an Obama campaign scheme.

One thing I am confidant of: had this been Biden or Obama that was hacked, we would have seen 24/7 coverage of "Republican dirty tricks."

    That's today's "journalism."
