I believe the majority of politicians - the ones who get elected to higher state and national positions - do not care about the people they are supposed to be representing, and are generally dumb.
The same goes for people like Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who never let a crisis end before she says something totally ignorant. Remember the Christmas Underwear Bomber? She said the system worked when it was obvious it didn't because a man got on a plane with a bomb.
Now we have the New York City Car Bomber and I am amazed at the Political Lefties and their stupid remarks. These remarks were made before many of the details were made public.
Napolitano quickly stated this was an isolated incident. She was obviously worried people would assume it was a terrorist attack perpetrated by Muslims and she wanted to squelch the truth, er... stop an unnecessary panic. Now, if it were committed by someone who enjoys a nice hot cup of tea, she would have labeled this an attack but those criminal Tea party Members and Right-wingers, who were spurred to violence by the FOX News Network.
Then we get New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who said he would bet the bomb was planted by someone who was against health care. I cannot even explain how dumb his comment was. He is the mayor of the city that was home to the World Trade Center, which was attacked twice by terrorists. There was also a plot to bomb the subways in his city.
How this kook can say he thinks it's some Right-wing nut shows how the Left will use anything to demonize their political opposition.
The White House won't even use the word terrorism or Muslim when talking about these attacks.
I can't stand it.
Think back to the Ft. Hood shooting. A Muslim kills a dozen-plus people and the White House and Liberal media outlets were falling all over themselves to NOT use the words Islam and terrorist. We were asked to have patience and not to jump to conclusions.
Chris Matthews of MSNBC was defending the alleged shooter, Nadal Hasan, so fervently he suggested it wasn't a crime to try to contact the Taliban. I think it is for a member of our military.
I find is sickening that the media will bend over backwards to avoid mentioning Islam and terrorism in the same sentence but they constantly bring up Christians when someone claiming the faith when they do something illegal in the name of their religions.
Also, the Left (media, politicians, actors, regular people) will attack anyone who dares speaks against the Obama Administration. If you do not follow the Left ideals, you are dangerous, hateful, racist, stupid, retarded, and every other nasty name in the book.
I can't stand all this political pestering.
I know politics have always been a part of this country's landscape, but was it always this bad. I doubt we could have won two world wars if both sides of the aisle were so antagonistic towards each other as they are now.
Could you imagine if political correctness was as rampant in 1941 as it is now? After the Pearl Harbor attacks, the Left would have called for us to try to talk to Japan instead of going to war. They would have said Japan only attacked us because we must have done something to provoke them. Our free market system of economics probably abused their people and hurt the environment.
Instead of saying the attack on Pear Harbor was an actual act of war, it would have been called a "man-made disaster".
We need to stop this nonsense. If some attacks us, we need to fight back. If it's by Muslims and they are acting in the name of their faith, then that needs to be talked about and not swept under the rug.
If there were Christian nations that wanted us dead, and Christian radical groups trying to set off bombs in our cities, I want it discussed. As a Christian, I would want the information out there so I can speak against that kind of mutilation of my faith. I think peace-loving Muslims should be allowed that same opportunity.
I fear as the attacks against America become more prominent, we will be spending more time fighting each other with words and false blame. And our enemies will view us as weak, and that will lead to more attacks.
