H/T Wyblog!
In an effort to promote vegetarianism in South America, the organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is launching a campaign featuring Lydia Guevera, the 24-year old granddaughter of Che Guevera, "armed with carrot-laden ammunition belts and wearing a beret that even the youngest hipster will recognize from a famous T-shirt design."
The campaign's tag line? "Join the vegetarian revolution."
The reality of Che Guevera however, is that he was a cold, brutal mass-murderer. Che fought for the communist "revolution," AGAINST the "freedom fighters" (those peasants and farmers who fought his brutal, dictorial regime). Che NEVER fought for freedom.
That PETA is "paying homage" to a man who built and operated brutal work camps and mass firing squads, should tell you all you need to know about PETA. They don't represent peace, love, and life ... the truth is, power and control is what they seek, and the "Che Campaign" simply confirms, that power and control is what they represent too.
Don't be niave about Che Guevera. Che was no different than Saddam Hussein.
