"In my opinion, there's no--there's no end served by releasing the picture of someone who has been killed. And I think there's absolute proof that Osama bin Laden was in fact the person that was taken into custody, was killed in the process, in the firefight. But I don't think there's any necessity to release the picture," declared House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) at a Capitol Hill press conference.
"It is important to make sure that very graphic photos of somebody who was shot in the head are not floating around as an incitement to additional violence or as a propaganda tool," said President Obama. "Given the graphic nature of these photos it would create a national security risk."
"We discussed this internally," he assures. "Keep in mind that we are absolutely certain that this was him. We've done DNA sampling and testing. And so there is no doubt that we killed Osama bin Laden."
In other words: "Take our word for it you stupid peons!"
Thank goodness for our benevolent federal overlords, huh? Being the "squeamish" mundanes that we are, they have protected us from seeing the
photographic evidence "very gruesome" photos of Osama bin Laden's death. Our "leaders" are also, once again, showing their infinite wisdom by censoring the release the photos (did you see that Very Scary squirt gun?) because they just might inflame Islamic sentiment.

Oops! The White House lied. It's time to re-spin the story. Boy, I spend a mere 2 days away from blogging and the whole story has changed. The Department of Defense has already "written a new narrative" about Osama bin Laden's death. Let's see if we can figure any of it out.
Questioning the official "narrative" about Osama bin Laden's death is completely rational. After all, it's an incredibly fishy story. Not only has the "narrative" already changed (in less than 48 hours), but it's full of many unanswered questions and unproven claims.
Look, our Founding Fathers didn't fight a war of secession so that we would obediently follow the state's fourth grade agitprop. As a free and thinking people we must question authority - at all times and on all issues - as a matter of principle and prudence. That is, if we wish to remain free. And for those who wish to snark about "Tin-Foil-Hat Brigades," just remember ... The politics of obedience is the path to enslavement.
Furthermore, the mainstream media can't be counted on. They twist facts, leave important data out, provide "approved" opinion only, and get most of their information from the government to begin with. It doesn't require a "conspiracy" to get it all wrong. Reporters and editors are generally clueless about the subjects they report on, and the government is more than sufficiently incompetent enough to bungle the simplest of newsworthy events.
The burden is on the reader to interpret news stories these days. You can't just sit there like sheep hoping you've been told the truth.
First of all, how many times has Osama bin Laden died?
- December 26, 2001: "Usama bin Laden has died a peaceful death due to an untreated lung complication."
- January 18, 2002: "Pakistan's president says he thinks Osama bin Laden is most likely dead because the suspected terrorist has been unable to get treatment for his kidney disease."
- July 11, 2002: "Osama bin Laden is dead."
- July 18, 2002: "The US Federal Bureau of Investigation's counter-terrorism chief, Dale Watson, says he thinks Osama bin Laden is 'probably' dead."
I'm sure there are even more "Osama bin Laden is dead" reports out there, but that's sufficient for you to get the picture. Speaking of pictures, there sure has been a lot of different pictures of Osama bin Laden over the past decade (some of which were brazenly fake). Staging fake photos "has been the standard operating procedure" at the White House for a very long time. Even our rulers get duped by fakes.
The "Fog of War"
Osama's "luxury hideout in Pakistan" is another exaggeration by the federal government. The hideout "is in fact worth no more than $250,000 say property professionals in Abbottabad, the town where he was killed." That's right. The "compound" was nothing but an ordinary, moldy, run-down, un-air conditioned house. "The most dangerous, best-trained, vicious killers on the face of the earth" weren't even armed.
The Telegraph reports that Osama bin Laden did not open fire on the Navy SEAL team, nor attempt to use anyone as a human shield. His youngest wife, Amal Al-Sadah, was left behind due to lack of room because one of the US top secret stealth helicopters used in the mission crashed. American officials are angry because Pakistan is refusing them "permission to interrogate her at the military hospital in Rawalpindi where she is being treated for a bullet wound in the calf."
Speaking of torture ... If Osama bin Laden is/was "the mastermind" of worldwide Islamic terrorism (as we're led to believe), why would they kill bin Laden - the most valuable intelligence asset on the planet? You'd think that the torture goons would love to water-board bin Laden while twisting his nipples. I mean, wouldn't that "keep America safe?"
Osama bin Laden was not taken down with a "precision kill shot" as first reported either, but was deliberately killed sometime after he was captured. "This was a kill operation," a US national security official told Reuters. They weren't even interested in capturing him alive. Apparently, "the mastermind" wasn't a high-value asset. It's all those "homegrown terrorists" who keep your overlords up at night.
Although there's no evidence, we're told that Osama bin Laden's body was dumped into the Arabian Sea. The evidence was destroyed within 24 hours in accordance to "Islamic practice and tradition." Yeah, that's it. How convenient.
So, after spending trillions of dollars and killing hundreds of thousands of people, for 10 straight years, we're supposed to believe they would quickly dispose of the evidence? I mean, the government is certainly incompetent, but if true, this is so profoundly stupid that it borders on the insanity of Kim Jong-il. But, but, they claim to have pictures!
They just can't show them to us.
What a crock of bull.
There is no legitimate argument for government secrecy about an event like this in a representative-republic as we're supposed to be, or the democracy that we've become. Shouldn’t the public know what its government has done? What better way could there be to show the public than by releasing these photos? The notion that "given the graphic nature of these photos it would create a national security risk," is absurd. Do they really expect people to take them seriously? Does the government even bother trying to make their propaganda appear credible anymore?
Maybe they'll releasethe video of the raid. You know, the one President Obama was photo-oped watching? Oops. There's no live video of the raid either. According to the director of the CIA, Leon Panetta: "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information."
Well, at least they've got DNA evidence, right? Allegedly. But it's incredibly difficult to believe anything this lying gang of thieves says. Is there any collaborating independent analysis? Witnesses? Or as David Kramer asks, "how did our $14 trillion dollars in debt 'efficient' government get DNA test results back on the dead bin Laden in less than 24 hours?" Maybe they did get it done quickly, but then "whose DNA did they compare it to?"
Who knows? It's "kooky" and "crazy" not to accept the "official narrative." We're just supposed to take our overlords word for it. Do not question authority. They are benevolent, virtuous, patriotic, and pure.
What's the Agenda?
Is Osama bin Laden dead? Did they kill him last Sunday as they claim? I have no idea. How could I? The story will change by the time I publish this post.
But I do know that governments have been lying since the dawn of time, including our own, and that "nationalist fervor must be tapped if the drastic changes projected and initiated by revolutionary enthusiasm are to be consummated."
The question is: What is the agenda that this "Osama bin Laden death" theater is designed to further?
