Any regular reader of this blog, knows I'm neither fond of the politics of personality, or what I call "Team Politics." I may have fallen for party-affiliation in the past, but as I've grown older, I couldn't care less.  For me, a politician either believes in freedom, or doesn't.  If not, said politician is an enemy to the American Creed (IMHO).

Last fall, when President George W. Bush(R) added his "emergency-crisis-stimulus," to the "stimulus" he already passed earlier in the year ... go ahead, start calling me names, hate me, I don't care ... but the idea that the 2 major parties were any different (even just a little), ceased to exist.

Bush's "crisis," was in effect Obama's "October Surprise" against McCain, locking the deal up for Obama, and setting our country on a course towards rapid socialist destruction (tyranny) under a new regime.  Sen. John "I suspended my campaign to spend taxpayer dollars by the billions" McCain was no savior either.

Last fall's "bailout" was the greatest gift Obama could have ever received!  To believe it's not all connected in some way, is naive.  Sorry ... hate me, ridicule me, say what you will ... but if I'm not willing to speak the truth, I should never speak at all, and I couldn't have planned the destruction of our nation more perfectly if I had tried.  The whole thing was just way too smooth.

My opinions can be strong and quite often against the "Republican" grain, but as any regular reader can tell you, I link to and share many other opinions too - neocon, paleocon, libertarian, etc ... Because as important as I believe much of the conservative infighting to be, there are simply much bigger fish to fry (than drawing enemy lines between anyone on the Right).

Note: Frum, Friedersdorf, (big boobs) McCain Jr., etc. - I don't consider on the right.  To use a European term, I consider them as centre-left.

Today's rant, is in response to a post on Black & Right ripping on Rep. Ron Paul.  It troubles me that so many conservatives fight this guy.  If you disagree with his foreign policy views, fine. But he's the only guy in Washington who has stood against the tide, unshakably defending the Constitution and our American Creed in my entire lifetime!  He's also the only person in Washington to be consistently right about the economy, bubbles, and the federal budget (to name a few).

The post in question is today's Quote of the Day, on which I left a lengthy response (you can read there).  Here's Bob's reply to my comment:

Well, I became a conservative before it was Ron Paul trendy and I still have a problem with people who were liberal one day, saw the light, and now because they like what Paul has to say (and want to distance themselves from the conservatives they previously hated), believe they can now lecture the rest of us how to do conservatism.

I have no beef with Bob, in fact I'm on his side (if our battle is against the Leviathan, which I think it is).  But I'd like to point out, that calling me "Ron Paul trendy," is to not have read a single one of my thoughts.  Others, who may wish to jump in and call me a "Paultard" (an infantile attack), are simply pathetic. And if thanks to Ron Paul, some "liberals" have seen the light, I welcome them into the fold, and I congratulate them for finally getting it right (pun intended)!

Hey, you don't have to support Ron Paul for the presidency if you don't want, it's a free country! But if the mirror-image of "Mr. Republican," Sen. Robert A. Taft is your enemy ... freedom in America will soon be lost forever (that's no hyperbole either).

America is on the brink.  Don't kid yourselves otherwise.  And remember the words of Paul supporter Ronald Reagan, as he spoke of America, while campaigning in support of another great freedom-fighter, Sen. Barry Goldwater:

If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth.

Ron Paul is not your enemy folks!  In truth, he's one of the few friends in Washington you've got.  A fight with Paul, only results in a fight for the Leviathan.

Ron Paul is no Thomas Jefferson (so don't bother insinuating I made any such mythical comparison), but I truly wonder:

Would today's "Republicans" vote for a candidate Thomas Jefferson?

What scares me is ... I don't think so.

Ronald Reagan had the correct strategy with his 11th commandment, that no Republican should speak ill of any other Republican. Mike Huckabee should be publically and ceremoniously drummed out of the Republican party. Meanwhile, the Republican Party had better start going libertarian. See:
