10/08/09 - From Erick Erickson: I’m hearing this evening from both some Senators in the room and staff that the fears of GOP caving are overblown and we should not be concerned.

I still don't trust them.

Via the Daily Pundit, comes the sad (but not unexpected) news that the GOP is going to back socialized health care.

BREAKING: Senate GOP Folding Over Health Care Reform

Some Republicans are now thinking of supporting a government program.

Go to the action center and start calling.

Already, Senate Democrats are looking to pass healthcare by attaching it to unrelated legislation — the back door Brian Darling has repeatedly warned us about.

Republicans are starting to waver on this.

Call now. Tell the GOP to stand firm in opposition to the Democrats’ health care plans.

Bad News

If the GOP helps pass socialized medicine, it is dead to me and, I suspect, dead to a whole lot of other folks as well.

Hey, Bush/McCain-bots: Given the flaccidity we may be seeing here, do you doubt that the Kennedy-McCain Socialized Medicine bill would have been passed a long time ago?

"Dead to me" is putting it mildly.

If they help pass this monstrosity, consider me a sworn enemy of the Republican Party. Straight up! Hey, they obviously have no interest in representing me, so they can stick it where the sun don't shine!

Say NO to socialized health care!

ObamaCare's secret weapon: The Senate GOP Jellyfish Caucus

Aw, c'mon, Erick -- "starting to waver"? As if, until today, Republican Senators were a formidable phalanx of conservative stalwarts standing on guard to defend our liberties against the unconstitutional schemes of the Left?

Are we talking about the same Republican wussies who endorsed Charlie Crist in Florida? The effeminate weaklings who supported John McCain for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination? So far as anyone can tell, there is not a single Republican in the Senate who possesses a sound brain, a straight spine and a functioning set of testicles.
