CL, don't fall for the Paul Mulshine two-step (first item in your list). He's a "let perfection be the enemy of the good" kind of guy. Of course a columnist can afford to be an ideological purist. Sometimes a Governor can't.

And though I might not always remember to say it, mucho merci beaucoup for the linkage!

    • theCL

Yeah, I thought about you as I was linking Mulshine's post. I just like holding a politicians feet to the fire no matter who they are. I like Mulshine, he's an old school conservative like I am. As far as Christie goes, I'd take him here in MI any day of the week!

And mucho merci beaucoup for your great blogging!

      • Chris Wysocki

Yeah, Mulshine used to be an Old School Conservative. Nowadays he's more of a Grumpy Old Man. Guy rants and rails about all sorts of non-conservative stuff. Won't even drink Bud fer cryin out loud. In fact, he turns his nose up at just about every American beer. On his page he calls himself "Blogdor The Terminator" and he erases any comment which even slightly disagrees with his erudite wisdom, much like Mad King Charles at LGF.

And his constant elitism wrt the Jersey Shore sticks in my craw. Given his druthers he'd prevent all summer renters from ever setting foot below the Raritan River again. Some of us weren't born on the water, can't afford a shore house, and have to settle for renting each summer. To Mulshine we're "Bennies" who are a lower form of life than liberals.

I should write a post about his idiosyncrasies. But the last time I emailed him about a column he wrote back and accused me of being a liberal. That puts him off his rocker in my book.
