The title of this post is mixed from 2 headlines I found via memeorandum, as if not wanting to burn billions of dollars on the Olympics is a bad thing.
Here's the truth about this whole "Olympics in Chicago" soap opera ...
We should be celebrating the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) decision for the games to be hosted by Rio. Because by rejecting Obama, Rahm, and the rest of the Chicago Machine, the IOC helped save American tax victims a bundle!
The Olympics always cost the sponsoring city's tax victims billions of dollars (and the rest of America's tax victims too). The costs of infrastructure, policing, ect. always exceed any revenue gains. The Olympics are a financial loser.
The only people who would have benefitted from this Olympic scheme, are the politically connected businessmen, their wholly owned politicians, and of course, the media.
American tax victims are already over-taxed. So thank God, Rio's picking up the tab this time!
I know, I know ... Michelle Obama made such a noble “sacrifice" and everything ... Yeah, to make American tax victims fork-up even more dough!
