"Indeed, I believe the American people stand ready for far more visionary change than the current administration [Bush Senior] is capable of providing."
- Senator Joe Biden (D-DE),
The Wilsonian Vision and American Foreign Policy in the 1990's and Beyond (1992)

NWOLast Tuesday (Oct. 13, 2009), Lord Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, spoke to an audience at the University of Minnesota concerning the "Global Warming" hoax. Monckton has spent the last several years debunking the global warming hoax, and has a two year old standing offer to debate Al Gore on the subject. Gore of course, refuses any debate.

Lord Monckton started his speech by urging everyone to be skeptical of what he was saying, and that the members of the audience should check his supporting facts themselves and draw their own conclusions.

Lord Monckton claims that "Global Warming" is just a scare-tactic being used to create a new word government - a grander version of the European Union. A global government that will be born in Copenhagen this December.

Monckton believes that the only people that can stop this are Americans. We are the last hope for freedom and liberty in the world.

Has this highly distinguished man simply gone bonkers?

The European Union has drawn up secret plans to establish itself as a global power

A letter conferring a full "legal personality" for the Union has been drafted in order for a new European diplomatic service to be recognised as fully fledged negotiators by international bodies and all non-EU countries.

"As we have long warned, the Lisbon Treaty increases the EU's power at the expense of the countries of Europe," he said. "The new power a single legal personality would give the EU is a classic example."

Lorraine Mullally, the director of Open Europe, described the move as "a huge transfer of power ... Giving the EU legal personality means that the EU, rather than member states, will be able to sign all kinds of international agreements – on foreign policy, defence, crime and judicial issues – for the first time," she said.

"British voters agreed to join the European Communities, not a political union with legal personality with the power to sign all kinds of international agreements," said Miss Mullally.

Kirsten Lombard of Right Side News reports:

Lord Monckton is one of the few people who has thorough familiarity with a recently completed draft of the treaty President Obama will sign in Copenhagen in just a matter of weeks.

The treaty is not just a foot in the door for one-world government. It IS communist, one-world government. And because of the high regard in which our Constitution holds foreign treaties, this document, if ratified by Congress, would supercede [sic] the Constitution.

Even if global warming, or "climate change," were a reality, the United States and other Western nations could never, in honesty, be called the world's most egregious polluters (I'm sure we all have an awareness of who would be on that list). Except, that's exactly how this treaty labels us. And in so labeling, not only does it attempt to rob us of our sovereignty, it also wants to drain us of our wealth via a huge reparations scam. As the "big polluters," we will be forced to pay a substantial portion of our GDP to the Third World for "ruining the environment." If we do not pony up, we will be subject to even heavier penalties under international law ... [T]he treaty implements its chains very cleverly and on many levels. It will bind us more closely, for example, to other organizations of dubious reputation and merit such as the UN, the IMF, and the World Bank.

To be abundantly clear, the American people will have no voice or say in this matter--or likely many others--once the treaty is signed. Lord Monckton expressed very frankly that the words democracy, electorate, and voting are conspicuously absent from the treaty language.

Oh, c'mon now. Communism? Your tin-foil hat's on a bit too tight.

The West Has Always Been Deceived by Communism

Communism spread like wildfire in the 1800's in Europe and Russia, and hit the 20th century like a wrecking ball. It was a movement shrouded in idealism that captured the ideals of the young and the hearts of the intellectuals who yearned for a way to "cure" society's ills. People fought hard and gave their lives for its existence. But if one looks back on the history of communism, it becomes painfully clear that these well-meaning individuals were duped. Far more deceptive than fascism—which sneers openly and menacingly at the rest of the world—communism plays on idealism and twists it to its despotic ends.

Few people who have not lived under communist rule can really understand its dark nature. Xin Haonian, an expert on the history of communism, believes that it is this very ignorance that has kept the United States at a disadvantage when dealing with the former Soviet Union and now China.

In the early 20th century, communist thinking was popular the world over, and also influenced the United States. Many in U.S. political circles and the public were friendly with China, including FDR's vice president Henry Wallace.

Many Americans do not really understand communism or the East ... Even today there are "socialist" scholars who sympathize with socialist China and romanticize the communism of the former Soviet Union. This trend goes back to before the Second World War. As "liberals" they attack the policies of the U.S. government, condemn capitalism, and attack the western world.

Socialist scholars are still found in academic circles today, largely in the United States and Great Britain. A few democratic activists who came from China have had the courage and determination to oppose the CCP ... however, many are not able to fully break away from the socialist ideology. When they come to the United States, some still argue in support of Marxism and Leninism. The evidence they use is that of American socialists and left-wing intellectuals.

SURRENDERING SOVEREIGNTY by Dick MorrisNew-World-Order

While all eyes were on the rantings of Ahmadinejad at the United Nations, the United States — under President Barack Obama — was surrendering its economic sovereignty at the G-20 summit. The result of this conclave, which France’s President Nicolas Sarkozy hailed as “revolutionary,” was that all the nations agreed to coordinate their economic policies and programs and to submit them to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for comment and approval.

We are to subject our most basic national economic policies to the review of a group of nations that includes autocratic Russia, China and Saudi Arabia. Even though our GDP is three times bigger than the second largest economy (Japan) and equal to that of 13 of the G-20 nations combined, we are to sit politely by with our one vote and submit to the global consensus. Europe has five votes (U.K., France, Germany, Italy and the EU) while we have but one.

[T]he process will be administered by the IMF, whose ... misguided policies have been responsible for more revolutions than Marx, Engels and Lenin combined. Its bureaucrats’ arrogance is legendary and their search for appropriate punishments to fit the crime of spending too much on the poor smacks of colonialism and imperialism. They are our new overseers.

Much of the damage of the Obama administration can be undone at the next election. But such grants of sovereignty to autocratic, backward, bureaucratic and even communist nations will be hard to undo.

Verification of Monckton’s assessment of the new entity’s purpose:

a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies.

(b) a Compensation window, to address loss and damage from climate change impacts [read: the "climate debt" Monckton refers to], including insurance, rehabilitation and compensatory components ...

(e) an international registry for the monitoring, reporting and verification of compliance of emission reduction commitments, and the transfer of technical and financial resources from developed countries to developing countries. The secretariat will provide technical and administrative support, including a new centre for information exchange [read; enforcement].

Okay, make your jokes. Laugh at this infantile conspiracy theory if that makes you feel better. Bask in your "intellectual respectability" (in the eyes of the Beltway Establishment, that is). After all, those Beltway-types have always had your best interests at heart.

Anyways, call it what you want, but the New World Order, is now upon us.

Nice job. I haven't waded through the treaty yet. But what's insanely scary is--if you look at the "international obligations" section of the Boxer-Kerry Senate Thermageddon Bill it says "to be filled in later."
With what, do you suppose? Care to hazard a guess?
