Guns are deeply rooted within Swiss culture - but the gun crime rate is so low that statistics are not even kept.
The country has a population of six million, but there are estimated to be at least two million publicly-owned firearms, including about 600,000 automatic rifles and 500,000 pistols.
It appears that the Swiss are and have been educated about guns for a very long time on what, why, and when guns are provided. Education is key and historical events justify the weapons for the Swiss. Is the crime rate low because everyone has a gun and will shoot before being shot?
The US is filled with much anger driven by the times, stress, pharma, paycheck to paycheck life styles, health insurance issues, debt, and instant gratification and lack of History...US is 200+ years and Europe if thousands of years old and traditions, history, and attitude is passed down. Are the Swiss big Pharma consumers per capita? We know they produce and distribute around the globe. Which country consumes more pharma per capita, i.e.; Depression, Bi Polar, Anxiety type of drugs?
