Harry Reid is an evil man, there's no doubt about it. Democrats and the mainstream media (State organs) are biased, and there's no doubt about that either. And yes, what Harry Reid said was racist. But ... yes, here comes the BUT ...

Harry Reid's 'Racist' Statement: Political Correctness Witchunts Don't Serve the GOP Well
I hate to revisit this Harry Reid racist thing again but I have to and this is the last time. I can understand the GOP 5 yard line pileup concerning Harry Reid's 'Negro' comment and such but underneath the temptation for political gain I just feel something in my gut that tells me that it is wrong.
I want to defeat people like Reid because they are evil and because they are wrong. Because they want a vision of this country that is the antithesis of what this country (should) stand for. Not because he said 'negro' behind closed doors. It disgusts me to see the head of the RNC, (Steele), calling for Reid's head. It disgusts me because Steele can only use the race card to take down his opponent, not the strength of conservatism or bringing to light just how radical and ridiculous the Democratic party has become.
The Stupid and Evil Party
What the GOP is doing will have dire consequences, beyond the richly deserved fate of making the party look foolish. It will stifle the freedom to engage in honest political discussion, an activity that the attack on Reid and before that on Lott is going to make more difficult. As the "sensitivity" net widens and as unauthorized questions about race, gender, and lifestyle are put outside the limits of "sensitive" dialogue, we will suffer as an already diminished free society. While there is plenty of blame to go around for this situation, the GOP has done its part here, in its desperate hunger for minority votes. As a right-of-center party, which it sometimes claims to be, it should be fighting for economic freedom, distributed governing powers, and an end to the war against discrimination, understood as making us speak like graduates of a multicultural indoctrination session. Now the GOP has moved out in front as an advocate of leftwing thought and speech control. The campaign against Reid illustrates this.
Yet, the left has shown some extreme hypocrisy with this event.
Without meaning to be, progressives can be the funniest people.
