To paraphrase the great conservative intellect Russell Kirk ... In my bemoaning of the Republican Party, I am more moved by sorrow than by wrath.
For all the work, faith, and hope conservatives have put into the Republican Party, they have very little to show for it.
During my 41 years of life, government has grown both in size and scope, taxes have consistently risen, and the dollar has lost most of its value.
In fact, tracing our roots back to the early 20th century, I can't find a single administration who stuck to the Constitution and limited the government to its 17 specific enumerated powers.
It's easy to blame the Democrats, and indeed, they certainly hold a great deal of the blame. But it's the Republican Party, who we've been lead to believe would stand athwart the governments usurpation of our inalienable rights. Therefore, I hold the Republican Party responsible for the mess our once great nation has become.
And it's this complete lack of genuine opposition to the growing Leviathan, that has let both conservatives and our anti-State heritage down.
This post is not about convincing you to vote third-party. I recently endorsed a handful of Republicans myself! It's simply about learning what we're up against, so we can all make better decisions for our future. America's future.
Change always starts from within ... by confronting our own shadows.
Please take the time to read about the history of the Republican Party and its consistent fight against genuine conservatives. The truth can't hurt you, it can only set you free!

Quotes by former President George W. Bush on the conservative movement
“What is this movement you keep talking about in the speech?” the president asked Latimer.
Latimer explained that he meant the conservative movement — the movement that gave rise to groups like CPAC.
Bush seemed perplexed. Latimer elaborated a bit more. Then Bush leaned forward, with a point to make.
“Let me tell you something,” the president said. “I whupped Gary Bauer’s ass in 2000. So take out all this movement stuff. There is no movement.”
Now it was Latimer who looked perplexed. Bush tried to explain.
“Look, I know this probably sounds arrogant to say,” the president said, “but I redefined the Republican Party.”
George W. Bush on Sarah Palin
“I’m trying to remember if I’ve met her before. I’m sure I must have.” His eyes twinkled, then he asked, “What is she, the governor of Guam?”
