At first glance, it looks like Obama's "chickensssss ... are coming home to roost!"
Doesn't it?
I must admit, I haven't dug into it deeply. I will. And I've read quite a lot ... there are just more important things on my mind in general, and in terms of this blog.
Obviously, this is only the beginning, the tip-of-the-iceberg ... because news isn't released (or even leaked for the most part) out of an investigation, until they know it won't blow the rest of their case.
There IS a valuable lesson in this for us all! A valuable lesson for Republicans, Democrats, Liberals, Conservatives, Libertarians, Anarcho-capitalists, Anarchists, Socialists, Marxists, Maoists ... like I said ... EVERYBODY!
Yes, everyone. Including all of you who already "know."
It's a lesson we've all been taught (or should have been taught), given to us in volumes of writing, personal sacrifice, and blood. A lesson our Founding Fathers did their very best - not only just to teach us, but they even provided us with tools, in hopes we wouldn't repeat the blunder.
What was the lesson?
Government powers must be limited, especially the farther away that government is from your everyday life. Politicians must always be distrusted, at least to some degree. And to keep authority in the hands of the people, not in the hands of governments and their politicians.
What did we learn?
Nothing. In fact, we've done everything in our power to do the exact opposite!
The political-thugs in Chicago are getting caught, and I'm thrilled ... I just hate being the guy who has to break it to you ... but this is how politics works in our two-party system today.
Sure, it's different crimes of different degrees with different people involved ... and it sucks! But it's time to WAKE-UP, America. It's not just certain people who are corrupt, it's the whole system. "Hate the player. Just hate the game too."
Politics is an "inside game" today. Our votes don't mean what they could. This is why I say it only "looks" like Obama's chickens are coming home to roost, because the Political Class has gamed the game in their favor. Politicians can get away with murder.
There's a handful of politicians who are trustworthy and good ... but only a handful. So don't sit there and feel cozy because you have one piece of wood in the fire warming you. That's not even enough to get you through the night. Don't waste your brain power or breath convincing yourself or others either, that this is a unique situation ... just those damn Democrats.
The Democrats are dirty indeed! The problem, however ... is that politics in general is dirty. The game is dirty.
Until "we the people" come to terms with this fact, meaning we start actively advocating principle and philosophy, instead of Party and Personality ... start creating demand, instead of taking whatever is supplied ... things are going to "Change" alright ... they're going to change for the worse.
