Comment Policy:

The Classic Liberal Blog (theCL Blog) encourages reader comments!

We believe they are as important as anything we may write on this blog. Your comments add to the knowledge of our community, and foster a better understanding of the topics we discuss. Whether you feel you are an expert, or a neophyte, please feel welcome to join in and participate. If your views are different, or in opposition to ours, we welcome your wisdom and appreciate anything you can add to the community too.

theCL Blog is a FREE SPEECH ZONE, so we're very lenient in regards to the various approaches to commenting readers may take. Our advice to those of you who wish to comment on our blog (and any other blog), is to think of it this way:

You're visiting someone's home. Your comments have the ability to build up or tear down both this blog and your online reputation. So just take care, be good-natured, and make sure you're adding value to both the blog and your online reputation.

We believe in spreading "Google Juice," so comment signatures on this site are DO FOLLOW, however, the links within the content of your comments are "no follow" links.

Being that this is our home, we do reserve the right to delete comments (or trackbacks) that are considered off-topic, uncivil, obscene, racist, sexist, or just because we're grumpy. We also reserve the right to ban anyone that we feel can't participate in a civilized manner.

If you feel your comment was unnecessarily removed, or you were unnecessarily banned, please send us an email with your concern, and we can address it together.

We do use spam filters which catch the majority of automated spam sent our way, but if we find any that has slipped through, we will promptly delete it.

Privacy Policy:

If you are under the age of 13, please do not interact with this site in any way. We do not want to have any of your personal information.

The Classic Liberal Blog (theCL Blog) respects the privacy of its subscribers, customers and readers. We will never rent, sell, loan, give-away, or share the name, address, email, or any other contact information of anyone who has provided us said information in communications, business, or by any other means.

Currently, we do not offer email subscriptions, however, we plan on offering them soon, and our privacy policy will be updated accordingly, so you may have the opportunity to opt-out of any mailings you do not wish to receive.

If you leave a comment (and we encourage you to do so), your email will be stored in our database on our server.

When you communicate with us by adding a comment, sending an email, traditional letter, or by any other means, we reserve the right to include said communications in future posts, ebooks, advertisements, or other publications. If you do not want your communication published, or if you do not want your name or email address published, we ask that you tell us each time you write, preferably at the beginning of the letter. We will, however, to the best of our ability, protect your information as if it were our own.

We use various services to track our visitors in an effort to improve the blog. Most tracking services provide GENERAL details such as your IP address, what browser you're using, what OS you're using, your general location, and what pages you've read. Sometimes we may also know what links you've clicked too. What the services DO NOT tell us, is your personal data, however, if you use MyBlogLog, we may be able to identify data down to the individual person.

Please see MyBlogLog's privacy policy for more information.
