For a long time, I was a staunch advocate of the war in Iraq and the continued war in Afghanistan. But not so much anymore ...

I know, I know ... I'll see a massive decline in traffic after I post this, and others will want to revoke my "conservative" membership card.

Fine. So be it. If being skeptical of power and the government is no longer acceptable in conservative circles, then go ahead and kick me out! I am not a lamb.

The Uncomfortable Truth:

We're losing the war against Radical Islam!

That said, what's the point of spending billions of dollars (we don't have) and killing off thousands of Americans (and who knows how many countless innocents in the Middle East), if we're lighting-up the Empire State Building green to end Ramadan?

We're in Afghanistan (which has never been conquered in all of history) fighting the Taliban, yet here at home, the Islamic Saudi Academy is teaching Sharia Law!

We've been at war with the terrorists for twice as long as it took to win WWII. Yet, the Legal Advisor to the State Department Harold Koh, believes:

JUDGES should interpret the Constitution according to other nations' legal "norms." Sharia law could apply to disputes in US courts. The United States constitutes an "axis of disobedience" along with North Korea and Saddam-era Iraq.

War, war, war ... in lands far, far away ... While we lose our freedoms at home - like FREE SPEECH!

  H/T The Other McCain!

Yep! We're gonna kill those Radical Islamists (while we build a shrine to them at home).

Maybe, just maybe ... the "leaders" in Washington are lying through their teeth about it all!

Gasp! How dare I question the authorities!

Tell me where I'm wrong. Please! I just don't see we're "winning" in any meaningful sense of the word.

Totalitarianism, in all its forms, is evil. I'm for destroying all forms of evil too. But while we're off on the other side of the globe fighting a physical war, they're here, on our home turf, fighting a political war ... and WINNING!

Maybe I don't even know what we're fighting anymore ... Are we fighting totalitarianism? Or are we merely trying to prevent another major attack on our soil?

Because if it's totalitarianism we're fighting, our biggest threats are right here at home.

I couldn’t agree more. I was against the war in Iraq because I never believed the weapons of mass stuff that came from the Republicans and the Democrats.
I am so tired of all the misdirection from our government. It’s like Glenn Beck says, “Don’t watch the right hand, watch the left hand.”
While we fight terrorists around the world, we are not allowed to call them terrorists. Our government is busy trying to bring up charges against our own CIA members for supposed torture yet we get called racist is we speak out against stupid government policies.
    The world is upside down.
