The Establishment is not on our side folks.  This fact has become unarguable.

Almost immediately after his inauguration, President Obama and his goons got out their Alinsky playbook and read "choose a villain and make him the scapegoat for everything you oppose." They chose radio broadcaster Rush Limbaugh.  No longer the people's watchdog and thrilled to be given a target, the mainstream media jumped all over it!

Last Wednesday, Rush resigned as the Titular Head of the Republican Party, saying:

In the famous words of Roberto Duran, "no mas, no mas," no more, no more. I quit. I resign as the titular head of the Republican Party. There, frankly, is someone far more qualified and capable and more in tune with today's Republican Party than I, to be not only its titular head but its real head, and that would be General Colin Powell. So I now pass the baton to General Powell as the titular head of the Republican Party. From this day forward it will be up to General Powell to instruct the party on things it needs to do to win elections in 2010 and of course the all important presidential election in 2012. From this day forward, anything I say about that objective or those two objectives I do not say as the titular head of the Republican Party. I do not say it as an official advice-giver of the Republican Party. Only that kind of strategy and advice and leadership can come from General Colin Powell. So while I never sought the office, and while I technically was never elected to it, I nevertheless was the titular head of the Republican Party. Since I never sought it, was never appointed, but nevertheless the media said I was, so I am, I no longer am, I'm quitting, I'm outta there, no mas, no mas.

But the Republican Establishment hasn't finished their whining, bickering, and outright attacks on conservatives yet.  Nope.  Today, Establishment Wonderbread Tom Ridge tells CNN that Limbaugh is "shrill" and uses language in a way "that offend very many."  Ridge carries on (emphasis added):

It does get the base all fired up and he's got a strong following, but personally, if he would listen to me and I doubt if he would, the notion is express yourself but let's respect others opinions and let's not be divisive.

For the Republican Party to restore itself as not its original party, but as a national party, we have to be far less judgmental about disagreements within the party and far more judgmental about our disagreement with our friends on the other side of the aisle ... And let's be less shrill in terms of - and particularly, let's not attack other individuals. Let's attack their ideas.

Let me sum it all up for you ...

Conservative voters are not listening to the Republican Party Elite, and this makes them unhappy.  They do not wish to be original (limited government) conservatives, but instead, they insist on being the Big Government party of Nelson Rockefeller and George W. Bush.

They expect you not to fight the Big Government agenda of the Elite, but to eat crow and accept it instead.  In the mean time, they're going to continue attacking you, because they don't want you!

Conservatives and libertarians are shrill and offensive, that's why they consider "the other side of the aisle" their friends.  And the Establishment is not going give up their power, under any circumstance, so either become our (Elite) version of liberal, or you're not welcome in our "Big Tent!"

This is a losing battle folks.  It's time to take a serious look at the Libertarian Party. Some say they can't win, but I say just ask yourself ...

When is the last time a Republican advanced your cause?*  If you can't think of a time, or it was a long time ago, it's time to face the music ... You haven't been winning for a long, long time.

*Yes, there are a few exceptions - Ron Paul, Jeff Flake, etc.  But not enough to make a difference.
