During an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, President Obama's Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano was asked why she never mentioned Islamic terrorism in her first testimony before Congress.  She replied (emphasis added):

In my speech, although I did not use the word "terrorism," I referred to "man-caused" disasters ...

Meanwhile ... the global cabal of tyrants and dictators (known as the United Nations) have been working like busy-beavers to pass the nonbinding U.N. Resolution 62/154 which "expresses its deep concern that Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism ... [n]otes with deep concern the intensification of the campaign of defamation of religions and the ethnic and religious profiling of Muslim minorities in the aftermath of the tragic events of 11 September 2001."

This little known tid-bit in world affairs, apparently isn't worthy of the mainstream media. After all, I'm sure Britney Spears took her dog for a walk or something else of great importance ...

Chistopher Hitchens however, isn't afraid to cover this story!  He wrote the must-read article, Don't Say a Word, about this attack on free speech published in Slate Magazine (emphasis added):

... the so-called mainstream Muslims ... are now demanding through the agency of the United Nations that Islam not only be allowed to make absolutist claims but that it also be officially shielded from any criticism of itself.

... [seeking] to extend protection not to humans but to opinions and to ideas, granting only the latter immunity from being "offended." The preamble is jam-packed with hypocrisies that are hardly even laughable ...

You see how the trick is pulled? In the same weeks that this resolution comes up for its annual renewal at the United Nations, its chief sponsor-government (Pakistan) makes an agreement with the local Taliban to close girls' schools in the Swat Valley region ... and subject the inhabitants to Sharia law. This capitulation comes in direct response to a campaign of horrific violence and intimidation, including public beheadings. Yet the religion of those who carry out this campaign is not to be mentioned, lest it "associate" the faith with human rights violations or terrorism.

The thought buried in this awful, wooden prose is as ugly as the language in which it is expressed: Watch what you say, because our declared intention is to criminalize opinions that differ with the one true faith. Let nobody say that they have not been warned.

 

Back home ... here in the United States, where Islamic terrorism has morphed into a mere "man-caused disaster," we still have no need to worry though, because our government remains vigilant in their pursuit of terrorists!

In a Feb. 20 report titled The Modern Militia Movement, law enforcement agencies have been provided a fresh and new briefing on how to spot a terrorist!

Now ... knowing as I do that my readers, being the genuine red-blooded Americans you are, would be more than happy to help out our law enforcement officials in the quest to capture terrorists.  So in an effort to help you help them, I've provided the following bullet-point list of "warning signs" you can use to "profile" your neighbors.

Terrorist Red Flags:

• Bumper stickers for the Constitution Party, Campaign for Liberty, or Libertarian Party.
• T-shirts, lawn-signs, and other material supporting presidential candidates Ron Paul (R), Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr.
• The Gadsden Flag (or any image thereof), bearing a coiled rattlesnake and the slogan DON'T TREAD ON ME "is the most common symbol displayed" by terrorists.
• Anyone who speaks of a North American Union or New World Order.
• The FBI has explicitly designated "defenders" of the Constitution as "right-wing extremists."
• Anyone who claims a Christian identity.
• Anti-abortion activists.
• Anyone who expresses opposition to illegal immigration.
• Anyone showing signs of income tax resistance.
• People who resist growth in the federal government.
• Anyone flying an upside-down flag.
• Anti-government mindsets (boy am I in trouble ).

The bottom-line: If you support individual rights and a Constitutionally limited-government ... YOU are a terrorist!

"It seems like they want to stifle political thought," said Roger Webb, president of the University of Missouri campus Libertarians. "There are a lot of third parties out there, and none of them express any violence. In fact, if you join the Libertarian Party, one of the things you sign in your membership application is that you don't support violence as a means to any ends."

Tim Neal, a military veteran and delegate to last year's state GOP convention, was shocked by the report's contents.

"I was going down the list and thinking, 'Check, that's me,'" he said. "I'm a Ron Paul supporter, check. I talk about the North American union, check. I've got the 'America: Freedom to Fascism' video loaned out to somebody right now. So that means I'm a domestic terrorist? Because I've got a video about the Federal Reserve?"

Neal, who has a Ron Paul bumper sticker on his car, said the next time he is pulled over by a police officer, he won't know whether it's because he was speeding or because of his political views.

"If a police officer is pulling me over with my family in the car and he sees a bumper sticker on my vehicle that has been specifically identified as one that an extremist would have in their vehicle, the guy is probably going to be pretty apprehensive and not thinking in a rational manner," Neal said. "And this guy's walking up to my vehicle with a gun."
